Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the appearance through provision of an outer appearance which looks as if ornamental members are spaced with a given size, by a method wherein an expansion part is formed in each of gaps between a plurality of ornamental members formed on the surface side of a molding to control the gap between the ornamental members into a specified size. CONSTITUTION:An opposing gap l between ornamental films 2 and 3 is set to, for example, 3mm. or less, and a part of synthetic resin, forming a molding, is projected to the opposing gap l side and is located therebetween to form a coupling wall 21. The opposing gap l between the two films 2 and 3 is controlled by means of the coupling wall 21. An expansion part 22 in an about semicircle for covering the opposing edge parts of the films 2 and 3 is integrally formed at the top end of the coupling wall 21, and a width W is set to a width of 5mm. or less which is so enoughly sized to allow formation of a partition between the two films 2 and 3. This causes controlling of a distance between the two films 2 and 3 by means of the width W of the expansion part 22, and improves the appearance by providing for the outer appearance which looks as if the two films 2 and 3 are separated from each other by the specified width W.

In general, a molding 1 to be attached to a car body panel, etc., has a flat bottom part 11 provided with a fixing means such as an adhesive for fixing the molding 1 to the car body panel, and an outer surface part, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. 12, decorative films 2 and 3 as decorative members provided continuously along the longitudinal direction of the molding on a part of the outer surface portion 12, and an end cap 4 provided at the end. The molding 1 is formed by integrally extruding a molding main body 1A made of synthetic resin, a core material 5 such as an aluminum plate buried inside the molding main body 1A, and decorative films 2 and 3.

The decorative films 2 and 3 are integrated so as to be parallel to each other, and are made of different colors and different materials. For example, if the film 2 is a red resin film mainly made of vinyl chloride resin, the film 3 is a bright color resin film made by laminating a vinyl fluoride resin film and a polyester resin film. In this case, in order to improve the contrast between films 2 and 3,
The molding body 1A is spaced by a width W of 5 mm or less between the
The background is made visible, thereby separating films 2 and 3 and improving contrast.

However, according to the resin molding made by the conventional manufacturing method, each of the films 2 and 3 tends to stretch under high temperatures. 2 and 3 may meander slightly. Especially when the width W is narrow, less than 5 mm,
This has the disadvantage that the width looks as if there are parts close to each other and parts separated from each other along the longitudinal direction, which significantly impairs the appearance.

FIG. 3 shows a simplified configuration diagram of an extrusion mold used in the method of manufacturing synthetic resin molding according to the present invention. It is set to be equal to the cross-sectional shape of the molding 10, and presses a bulge 22, which will be described later, of a main body extrusion opening 32 that applies and extrudes the decorative films 2 and 3 as decorative members on the molding main body 10A. It consists of a bulging part and an extrusion opening part 33. Main body extrusion port 32
As shown in FIG. 4, the internal space 34 communicating with the main body expands toward the rear end, thereby increasing the pressure of the synthetic resin 20 on the main body extrusion port 32 side. The bulging portion extrusion port 33 is integrated with the main body extrusion port 32 at the extrusion port 31, but a passage 35 communicating with the bulging portion extrusion port 33 branches from the internal space 34 and is a resin injection port. It is connected to 36. That is, this resin injection port 36 communicates with the internal space 34 and the passage 35. The internal space 3 of such an extrusion mold 30
The core material 5 and films 2 and 3 are continuously guided to the 4 side, and the synthetic resin 20 is introduced from the resin injection port 36.
When injected, this synthetic resin 20 internal space 34
The synthetic resin 20 is extruded from the extrusion port 31 having the extrusion port portions 32 and 33 through the passage 35, and is extruded from the main body extrusion portion 32 to form the molding main body 10A, and is extruded from the bulging portion extrusion port portion 33. The synthetic resin 20 formed forms a bulge 22 . The molding main body 10A and the bulging portion 22 are then welded together to produce the molding shown in FIG. 5. That is, the facing gap l between the decorative films 2 and 3 of this molding is set to 3 mm or less, and a part of the synthetic resin 20 constituting the molding protrudes and intervenes outside of this facing gap l, forming a connecting wall. 21 is formed. This connecting wall 21 allows the molding body 10A to
A bulging portion 22, which will be described later, is welded and integrated, and the opposing gap 1 between the films 2 and 3 is regulated. A substantially semicircular bulge 22 is integrated into the upper end of the connecting wall 21 and covers the upper surfaces of the opposing edges of the films 2 and 3.
The width is set to be sufficient (5 mm or less) to provide a separation between the

According to the above embodiment, the synthetic resin forming the bulge 22 is extruded through the passage 35, so that the density of the resin extruded from the bulge extrusion port 33 is increased and the resin is formed into an accurate shape. be able to. That is, since the surface of the bulging part extrusion port 33 is minute, if the passage 35 is not provided, there is less resin going around, and as a result, the connecting wall 21 and the bulging part 22
However, according to the present invention, such problems can be solved and the bulge portion 22 of a constant width can be formed continuously. Further, the division between the decorative members 2 and 3 can be clearly defined by the width W of the bulge 22, and the width W of the bulge 22 can be kept constant along the longitudinal direction by extrusion. . That is, even if the films 2 and 3 meander under the influence of heat, and there are parts where the opposing gap is close to each other and parts where it is far apart, this opposing gap is covered by the bulge 22 having a constant width W. The width W of the bulging portion 22 regulates the space between the films 2 and 3, giving the appearance as if the films 2 and 3 were separated by a certain width W, resulting in a good-looking molding. is obtained.

As explained above, according to the method for manufacturing a synthetic resin molding of the present invention, the main body extrusion opening part for applying and extruding each decorative member on the molding main body, and the opposing edge of the decorative member an extrusion port consisting of a bulge extrusion port for extruding the bulge covering the upper surface; and an internal space communicating with the main body extrusion port;
an extrusion mold formed with a passage branching from the internal space that communicates with the extrusion opening of the bulging part;
The synthetic resin forming the molding body and the bulging part is injected into the extrusion mold and supplied to each extrusion opening part through the internal space and a passage branched from the internal space, and the synthetic resin is supplied between the facing parts of the decorative member. By welding the resin in the gap and extruding it from the extrusion port, the bulge covering the upper surfaces of the opposing edges of the molding main body and the decorative member is integrally molded, so that the synthetic resin forming the bulge is always kept intact. Since it can be extruded at a constant high density, it is possible to continuously form a bulge of a constant width without losing its shape due to a reduction in resin wraparound, and the gap between each decorative member of the molding can be kept constant with this bulge. can be kept in
It is possible to produce moldings that look good.
