Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate mechanical handling and to reduce the cost of production by crushing the front end of a needle tube from 3 or more directions to close the end. CONSTITUTION:The central part of the fine metallic tube cut to a prescribed size is compressed and crushed uniformly from 3 ways by using caulking members 4, 4'. Two disk shaped diamond grinding wheels 5, 5' under rotation are pressed to the right and left of the compressed part to polish this part and to form a side hole. While the fine metallic tube is rotated, a rotating diamond grinding wheel 6 is pressed to the center of the crushed part to grind this part and to form the edge of the needle. The fine metallic tube is split to two when the grinding wheel 6 is advanced until the front end thereof arrives at the center of the fine metallic tube. Two pieces of the needles pointed at the ends are thereby obtd. Since the front end is crushed from 3 or more directions, the broadening of the front end from the other part does not arise and the mechanically parallel arraying of the many needles is easy. This method is thus suitable for production by an automatic machine. The crushing is easier than swaging and the cost of working is lower.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a novel medical needle and a method for manufacturing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a novel medical needle of the type in which the distal end is closed and sharpened and has a side hole communicating with the inner cavity of the needle in the vicinity thereof, and a method for manufacturing the same.

The needle that punctures the rubber stopper at the mouth of the container in order to draw out the liquid inside the infusion container or introduce air into the container has a diagonally canted tip and an open opening, just like a normal injection needle. In order to prevent the rubber stopper from being cut off by the cutting edge and entering the infusion as minute foreign matter, the tip is closed and the liquid and air are introduced and introduced through the side hole. needles are often used.

Conventionally, two types of needles with closed tips have been used. One is by swaging the needle tube (the tip is smoothly sharpened into a conical shape) as shown in Figure 4, and the other is by crushing the needle tube from two directions as shown in Figure 5. It is flat and occluded.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Since the needle shown in FIG. 4 is manufactured by swaging processing, the needle tube must have enough strength to withstand the processing. Therefore, it is necessary to use a needle tube with a thicker wall than a normal needle.

Furthermore, since the processing cost is also high, there is a problem that the manufacturing cost is significantly higher than that of ordinary nails.

On the other hand, the needle shown in FIG. 5 has the advantage of being able to use a thin-walled needle tube, but has the problem that it is not suitable for continuous production by automatic machines. In other words, when trying to continuously supply a large number of needle tubes while arranging them in parallel for continuous production using a machine, the crushed part at the tip becomes wider than the other parts (
Because of this, when it is bundled, the tip end becomes thicker,
The four tubes are no longer lined up in parallel.

That is, the medical needle of the present invention is a medical needle in which the tip is closed and sharpened to form a cutting edge, and has a side hole communicating with the inner cavity of the needle near the tip. is occluded by crushing from three or more directions. Further, the method for manufacturing a medical needle of the present invention includes:
After crushing a portion of a metal capillary tube of a predetermined length from three or more directions to close the inner cavity, a side hole is formed in the non-collapsed portion near the crushed portion, and the crushed portion is polished to sharpen it. It is characterized by this.

Since the medical needle of the present invention is occluded by crushing the distal end from three or more directions, the distal end is occluded from the fifth direction.
As shown in the figure, the width is not wide, and the thickness is almost uniform throughout. Furthermore, since crushing is technically simpler than swaging, processing costs are also lower. Furthermore, since strong force is not applied to anything other than the crushed portion during the T application, thin materials can be used.

Occlusion of the needle tip is indicated by the three arrows in Figure 2.
Compression is performed evenly from three directions with an interval of 120°. When using this needle as a bottle needle for an infusion set, the needle is inserted into the mouth rubber stopper of the infusion container until the side hole 2 reaches the inside of the container. The rubber is incised by the cutting edge of the needle, but since the tip is closed, rubber chips do not enter the inner cavity of the needle. The liquid is discharged through the side hole 2. Furthermore, when the needle is used as an air introduction needle for an infusion container, air is introduced into the infusion container through the side hole 2.
