Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a tube joint with high sealing performance by providing a conductive annular member acting as a stopper in the center part of the inner surface of the tube joint made of a shape memory alloy, and also provid ing electrical insulating material on the inner surface between both end parts of the tube joint and the conductive annular member. CONSTITUTION:An annular member 3 made of conductive material as a stopper is provided at the center part of a tube joint 1 made of a shape memory alloy. Electrical insulating material 4 such as polyethylene or polyimide is provided between the annular member 3 and end parts. Tubes to be connected 2 are inserted from both sides of the tube joint 1 and pushed in until the tip parts thereof are brought into contact with the annular member 3. With mutual con duction between both tubes to be connected 2, a heater 6 is started to contract the diameter of the tube joint 1 for connecting construction. As a result, highly reliable construction control can be performed automatically to obtain high sealing performance.

[Prior Art] As a pipe joint made of a shape memory alloy, there is one shown in FIG. 3. This involves inserting the pipe ends of the pipes 12 to be connected from both ends of a cylindrical pipe joint 11, and heating the pipe joint 11 above the transition temperature to reduce the diameter of the joint 11 and connect the pipes 12 to each other. It has become.

[Issue i to be solved] In this case, as shown in FIG. 3, in order to obtain sufficient coupling efficiency, it is necessary to insert the same amount of the pipe end of the connecting pipe 12 into the pipe joint 11 from both sides. is necessary.

For this purpose, it is necessary to mark the insertion depth position on the end of the pipe to be connected in advance and adjust the insertion depth of the pipe according to the mark, which reduces construction efficiency. In particular, when connecting vertical pipes, the pipe joint and the pipes to be connected tend to move vertically and their relative positions shift, so that sufficient joint performance may not be obtained.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The pipe joint of the present invention is a pipe joint made of a shape memory alloy that connects a plurality of pipes, and includes a conductive annular member serving as a stopper in the longitudinal center of the inner surface of the pipe joint. In addition, an electrically insulating material is provided on the inner surface between both ends of the pipe joint and the annular member.

In addition, the construction method is to use the above-mentioned pipe joint, insert the pipes to be connected from both ends of this pipe joint, and bring the tips of the pipes into contact with the annular member, so that the inserted pipes to be connected are electrically connected to each other. This system is characterized by heating the pipe joint.

[Operation] If the pipes to be connected are simply inserted from both ends of the pipe joint, the pipes to be connected are insulated from each other because the inner surface of the pipe joint is provided with an electrically insulating material.

Therefore, the tubes to be connected are strongly pushed in until the tubes are electrically connected to each other. The fact that the connected tubes were electrically connected to each other is evidence that the connected tubes have been completely inserted until their tips come into contact with the conductive annular member that is the stopper. Therefore, by heating and reducing the diameter of the pipe joint at this point, a pipe joint with high sealing performance can be obtained.

Unless the pipes to be connected are electrically connected to each other, that is, the tips of the pipes to be connected do not come into contact with the annular member, heating and diameter reduction work cannot be performed, so extremely reliable construction management can be performed automatically.

[実施例] 以下、本発明の一実施例を図面を参照して説明する。[Example] Hereinafter, one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

Then, as shown in FIG. 2, the pipes 2 to be connected are inserted from both sides of the pipe joint 1, and pushed in until their distal ends abut against the annular member 3. Since the connected pipes 2 are electrically connected to each other in this way, the heater 6 is activated and the diameter of the pipe joint 1 is reduced.

こうして、シール性の高い管継手を得ることができる。In this way, a pipe joint with high sealing performance can be obtained.

In this case, if a resin that softens when heated is used as the insulating material as in this embodiment, the sealing performance can be further improved by hardening the softened resin.

[Effect of the invention] The pipe joint and construction method of the serious invention are as described above,
The final heating and diameter reduction work cannot be performed unless the pipes to be connected are electrically connected, that is, the tips of the pipes to be connected do not come into contact with the annular member provided in the center of the pipe joint, allowing extremely reliable construction management. This can be done automatically, and pipe fittings with high sealing properties can be obtained.
