れることになるので装置としては能率的でないと
いう欠点がある。また第3図の装置のように締金
具頚部2Bを回転する挟着ローラ7と8との間を
通過させる場合では、両ローラ間に締金具が噛込
まれる際に大きな噛込み音を発するうえに、実際
には両ローラ7と8との間に隙間を設けておかな
いと締金具2がスムーズにローラ間を通過できな
いので締金具2に対する両ローラの面接触圧が弱
く、締金具2の確実な締圧が期待できないという
欠点がある。更にまたこのローラの挟圧着による
場合には、両ローラ7,8が冊子1の排出送り作
用も行えるように密着していることと、締金具頚
部2Bの折曲げ部が未だ完全に圧潰されていない
大きな曲面となつているために、締金具頚部2B
が両ローラ間に完全に噛込まれる前において両ロ

13の縮小により衝撃音を発生することなく圧縮
することができ、従つて第2図に示す従来例のよ
うに両台盤が互いに衝突して金具を押し潰すもの
に比較して大幅に騒音を減少することができる。

とき上方のナイフにより両プレス面間に押込んで
両揺動板が同一平面方向に戻る過程で両プレス面
間において締金具の頚部を挟圧する第二プレスを
行い、両揺動板が下方に回動される過程で締金具
の巻締めを終えた冊子を機外に送り出すようにし
