DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for automatically supplying band-shaped binding fittings used when binding the edges of a plurality of sheets of paper, such as in a wall-mounted calendar.

Conventionally, this type of binding hardware uses metal plate binding hardware that has been bent into a hook shape in advance and has an appropriate width and desired length. The conventional method is to manually supply the material one by one or one by one using an air mechanism.

However, if the above-mentioned feeding is done manually, the efficiency is very low and the stability of the feeding is poor (and the metal fittings must be aligned each time the feeding is done).

On the other hand, those using an air mechanism have the disadvantage that the mechanism is large in size, and the speed at which the metal fittings are supplied is slow due to the air mechanism, making it impossible to increase the speed.

In particular, with conventional manual or air-operated methods, it is very troublesome to bend the binding metal fittings into a hook shape in the primary processing during feeding, and to pull them apart from each other. This was accompanied by a defect in that the metal fittings had to be carefully removed from each other by hand in advance and then fed with care so as not to come into contact with each other again on the conveyor.

In view of the above-mentioned conventional example, the present invention is capable of automatically supplying such binding metal fittings to the tightening machine in sequence while maintaining a predetermined interval while accurately separating the metal fittings even if the metal fittings are in close contact with each other. The reason for this is that it has been developed so that it can be stably supplied only by mechanical equipment, and one embodiment of this will be described below.

Fig. 1 shows an outline of the main parts of a feeding metal fitting separation mechanism for separating iron plate-shaped binding metal fittings a that are fed horizontally from the front side. Magnet cylinders 3, 3 each having a cam 2 in the circumferential direction are provided at intervals corresponding to the length of the metal fitting a, and the metal fitting a is attached to the rotating shaft of the magnet cylinder 3.
Conveyor belts 4, 4 are used for sequentially feeding the paper to the sides.

The rotating shaft 1 is further provided with a drive mechanism 6 for the needle rods 5, 5, and the needle rod 5 can be moved forward and backward in the direction of the metal fitting a by the rotation of a cam 6a. The needle rod 5 can be thrust into the middle between the first metal fitting al that has been inserted and the following metal fitting a2 that is in close contact with it, and after the needle rod 5 has entered, the plate-shaped needle tip 5' is interlocked with the prying mechanism. It is in a relationship that it can rotate at this rod axis position in synchronization with the insertion of the needle rod 5, and the leading metal fitting a1 in contact with the magnet cylinder 3゜3 having the cam 2 is rotated by the insertion and prying rotation of the needle rod 5 due to the above-mentioned operation. This is so that it can be transferred one by one to the magnet cylinder 3 side after reliably separating the fitting from the following metal fitting a2.

In the above, a stopper 7 is provided oppositely to the magnet cylinder 3 side, and as shown in FIG. 3, the stopper 7 stops the catch in the area where the metal fitting a1 engages with the convex portion 2'. After passing through the convex portion 2' due to rotation, the separation fitting a1 falls into the recessed portion 2' due to the sulfur absorption action of the magnet cylinder 3 (see Fig. 4), and the metal fitting a1 located at the fourth part 2'' operates in synchronization with this. While passing under the forward release of the stopper 7, it is held by the magnet cylinder 3 and rotates together with the cylinder.

On the other hand, the following metal fitting a2 is not provided so that the needle rod 5 can prevent the belt 4 from moving forward.

Next, the metal fitting a1 on the magnet cylinder 3 side is transferred around the rotating shaft 1 as shown in FIG.
After passing under the stopper 7 shown in FIG. 4, the stopper 7 returns in synchronization with this and presses the next metal fitting a2, and the needle rod 5 retreats from the metal fitting a2.

Subsequently, when the magnet cylinder 3 rotates to the position shown in FIG. 6, the stopper 8' of the conveying chain 8 comes into contact with the metal fitting a1, and falls onto the chain 8 between the stoppers 8' and 8'.

After the process shown in Figure 6, the magnetic cylinder 3
When the direction and order of the metal fittings a1 reach the timing shown in FIG. 2 from FIG. 3, the supplied metal fittings a1 are separated one by one and transferred to the magnet cylinder side, and the above process is repeated.

The supply method of the present invention is as described above, and the binding metal fittings to be supplied are bent in advance, and because of this bending, the binding metal fittings are formed in a continuous manner in close contact with each other. A needle rod 5 that can be inserted into each gap and has a prying action, and a magnetic cylinder that accurately transfers the metal fittings separated by the needle rod to the conveying chain side. Although it is U-shaped and strip-like and remains in close contact, it has the same effect as manually separating each piece when feeding it to a metal fitting machine (for example, a calendar binding machine). By using the above separation means, separation can be carried out efficiently and precisely with a single movement of intermittent separation force.

In addition, the metal fittings are fed in the opposite direction before separation, but after being transferred to the conveying chain side, the feeding direction can be normalized, so that there is no problem in feeding the metal fittings to the tightening machine.

1. Align plate-shaped binding fittings for calendars bent into a U-shaped cross section closely, supply them sequentially from the first binding fitting onto a rotating magnet cylinder equipped with a cam having a convex portion on the outer periphery, and attach the plate-shaped binding fittings to the top of the magnetic cylinder. The provided stopper stops the tip of the binding fitting being transferred by being held down by the convex part of the cam, and the needle rod that is intermittently going in and out from the side at the top of the magnetic cylinder is held at the tip of the binding fitting and The needle rod is inserted between the connecting binding metal fittings, and the leading binding metal fitting after insertion is attracted to the circumferential surface of the magnetic cylinder by its magnetic force, and at the same time, the subsequent binding metal fittings are transferred to that magnetic cylinder by the inserted needle rod. The present invention is characterized by preventing the binding metal fittings attracted to the magnetic cylinder from occurring, reliably separating only the binding metal fittings that have been attracted to the magnetic cylinder from the following binding metal fittings, and intermittently supplying the first binding metal fittings to the rotating magnetic cylinder one by one at a time of 51 pieces.
