Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a detergent composition which is less irritative to skin, hardly causes adsorption of surfactants to the surface of hard material or skin, and hence can be rinsed away readily by using a specific sugar ester-based surfactant and an alkylamine oxide. CONSTITUTION:1-30wt.% sugar ester-based surfactant made of an ester of a 6-18C aliphatic acid and a 5-6C fructose or its monoalkyl ether and 0.5-10wt.% alkylamine oxide are mixed to obtained a detergent composition. Due to the co-presence of the sugar ester-based surfactant and the alkylamine oxide, adsorption of surfactants to the surface of hard material or skin is avoided, thus preventing the surface or skin from getting 'slimy'. This detergent composition is comfortable to use, and can be readily rinsed away.

However, in conventional cleaning products, the surfactant adsorbs to the skin and hard surfaces, making it feel "slimy" and not only makes it uncomfortable to use.
In order to remove the "sliminess", it is necessary to rinse with a large amount of water after washing, which poses a serious problem in terms of workability and economy.

In addition to monohexoses such as glucose, galactose, and fructose, monoalkylated products such as methylglucose and ethylglucose can be mentioned. In the sugar ester surfactant of the present invention, it is not particularly important how many of the hydroxyl groups of the monosaccharide form an ester with the C1 to C2 fatty acid residues, but it is preferable that the surfactant is mainly composed of monoesters, Triester or higher polyester is 1

The sugar ester surfactant as component (a) is blended in the detergent composition of the present invention in an amount of 1 to 30% by weight, preferably 5 to 25% by weight. If this amount is too small, the occurrence of 'slimy' cannot be sufficiently prevented and the rinsing performance deteriorates. On the other hand, even if the amount is increased, no improvement in performance is seen. Ester surfactants can be obtained by any appropriate method, but the present applicant previously published Japanese Patent Application No. 1-21049.
According to the method for producing sugar monofatty acid esters filed as No. 5, sugar esters mainly composed of monoesters can be industrially advantageously synthesized.
