用触媒と内燃機関の間の排気管に設けた排気温を
検知するための排気温度センサを具備し、既触媒
温徳センサの出力並びに既排気温度センサの出力
をそれぞれ別々に電圧信号等を電気信号に変換す
る信号変換器を持ち、電気信号に変換された触媒
温度センサ出力信号と排気温度センサ出力信号と
を比較する手段を持ち、既比較手段によつて比較
した触媒温度センサ出力信号と排気温度センサ出
力信号との差が一定レベル以下となつた時は排気
ガス浄化用触媒の浄化能力が失なわれ又は既触媒
の浄化効率が低レベルであると判断する触媒モニ
タ装置。 2 比較する一定レベルをエンジンの運転状態に
応じて決定する請求項第1項記載の触媒モニタ装
置。
