Abstract

PURPOSE:To simultaneously process both cable wiring for pressure welding and cable wiring for assembling so as to enhance workability by processing cable wiring on an assembly board, combining a pressure welding machine with a wiring jig over the assembly board, and thereby pressing a pressure weld connector therewith. CONSTITUTION:A connector housing 2 is inserted into each connector housing guide 42 within a wiring jig 14 over a wire harness assembly board 16 so that a cable 1 is wired into each wiring pin 48 and each cable guide 44 of the jig 14. The assembly board 16 in which the cable 1 has been wired, is moved to a pressure welding station wherein a connector cover is set on the guide 42 so that the holder 50 of a pressure welding machine 20 is thereby coupled in a wiring case 40 so as to be fixed. This thereby allows a pressure welding machine 18 and the jig 14 to be integrally assembled, and also allows the connector cover to be pressed with the pressure welding machine 18 operated thereafter so that the cable 1 is pushed in the connector housing so as to be integrated with the cover. By this constitution, workability can thereby be enhanced by the use of an inexpensive equipment.

However, such stationary equipment has a large number of components mounted on a pedestal, resulting in large weight and size.
In addition, since the equipment for pressure welding is larger than the assembly board on which the wires are laid, it is physically impossible to wire the wires on the assembly board and then pressure-weld the pressure welding connector directly, so the pressure welding work is concentrated. It is carried out according to purpose. For this reason, there are disadvantages in that overmanufacturing of pressure welding products occurs, and that the electric wires for pressure welding are managed separately, which increases management costs and increases lead time. In addition, there is a drawback that work efficiency is low because M, wire wiring for pressure welding, and wire wiring for assembly are required at the same time, and the number of man-hours for manual handling and handling of electric wires increases.

(Function) In this way, the 15-wire jig in which the pressure welding connector parts are placed is installed on the wiring harness assembly board, and the pressure welding machine is fitted into the wiring case of this wiring jig to perform the combined pressure welding. When separately attached to the machine holder, wiring can be carried out on the assembly board, and then a pressure welding machine can be combined with the wiring jig on the assembly board to press the pressure welding connector. Therefore, instead of intensive production as in the past, it is possible to produce one piece at a time, so there is no waste due to overproduction, and the wiring for pressure welding and the wiring for assembly can be easily processed. Since they are done simultaneously, work efficiency is improved.

At the pressure welding station B, the operator places the connector cover 2B on the connector housing guide 42, and then fits and fixes the pressure welding machine holder 50 of the pressure welding means 20 into the wiring case 40 of the wiring means 16. At this time, as already mentioned, the protrusion 46 of the wiring case 40 and the notch 54 of the pressure welding machine holder 50 are engaged with each other, and they are fixed integrally with each other by the snap fixing means 56. In this way, it is confirmed by the proximity switch 64 whether the wiring case 40 and the pressure welding machine holder 5o are reliably combined, and the arrangement of the electric wires All is confirmed by the video sensor 52. In this way, the pressure welding machine 18 is integrally assembled with the wiring jig 14.

When the plunger 18a of the pressure welding [18] descends, its pushing force is transmitted to the Ir1 wire jig 14, but in this case! Since the internal force of the entire O-edge wire jig 4 acts as a reaction and generates a pressure contact force, no load is applied to the assembly plate 12. In particular, it is preferable that the wiring case 4o is cylindrical, since the distribution of force becomes even and a large pressing force can be obtained with a small size. The bottom dead center sensor 62 is connected to the plunger 18
Check whether or not a has descended to the bottom dead center and pressure contact has been securely performed. If the pressure welding is performed normally, the plunger 18a of the pressure welding machine 18 will rise. As can be seen from FIG. 3, since the connector housing 42 is urged upward by the spring 66, the plunger 1 of the pressure welding machine 18
When 8a rises, the spring 66 causes the connector housing guide 42 to rise together with the pressure connector 2 to the initial position. Therefore, when the pressure welding means 20 is removed from the wiring means 16 in the reverse order, the pressure welding connector 2 is removed from the wiring jig 14.
It can be easily taken out. In this pressing operation, the carriage 30 is self-propelled by the self-propelled motor 36 along with the conveyor 22, so the pressing means 20 is not pulled back.

Although not shown in the drawings, completion of the pressure welding can be known by a completion indicator such as a pass buzzer that operates based on a completion signal from the bottom dead center sensor 62. Pressing means 2
A balancer 34 attached to the suspension wire 26 suspending the pressure contact means 20 is used to maintain the pressure contact means 20 at a predetermined height.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention, as described above, a 'lB wire jig in which the pressure welding connector parts are placed on the assembly board of the wire harness is designed, and the pressure welding machine Since it is separately attached to a pressure welding machine holder that fits into the wire case and is assembled, the wires are laid on the assembly board, and then the pressure welding machine is assembled to the wiring jig on the assembly board to connect the pressure welding connector. Therefore, wire harnesses can be produced one by one without intensive production, so there is no need to waste money by over-manufacturing, and there is no need to separately manage the wires for pressure welding. Management costs can be saved and lead time can be shortened, and since wiring for pressure welding and wiring for assembly are performed at the same time, there is a practical benefit of improving work efficiency.
