Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent wearing of a bell caused by contact with a raw material and to prolong the service life of bell by arranging step at upper part of lower seal face in the bell for charging a raw material in top part of a blast furnace to jump the raw material over the sealing face at the time of charging the raw material. CONSTITUTION:The lower seal face of the bell 1 in the blast furnace having the bell type raw material charging device is made of high chromium cast iron and the step 5 is arranged at the upper part thereof. By descending the bell 1 through a driving shaft 2, gap between the bell and silicon rubber-made valve sheet 3 is formed, and when the raw material piled on the bell 1 is charged into the blast furnace by slipping down through the above gap to the arrow mark direction, the raw material jumps over the seal face 4 with existence of the step and drops down in the furnace. 【発明の詳細な説明】 [産業上の利用分野] 本発明は、製鉄業における高炉の、高炉ベルに関するも
のである. [従来技術] 高炉には、原料を炉頂から投入する装置が設けられてお
り、原料投入の際に高炉ガスが炉外に漏洩しないように
ベルと称する複数のシール装置が原料投入装置の一部と
して配されている.すなわち、炉頂中央部に複数の椀状
のバルブとバルブシ一トが設けられ、これらは気密室を
形戒して、原料を各気密室間で授受して、高炉ガスの漏
洩を最小限に押さえている.第2図は従来技術を示す説
明図である.駆動軸2に取り付けられた円錐台形の高炉
ベル1は上下に動き、原料通過時には、矢印で示すよう
にバルブシ一ト3とシール面4との間を通過する.原料
蓄積時にはベルは上方に動き、ベルの外周部に当たるシ
ール面4とバルブシ一ト3が接触する.このバルブシ一
ト3の材質はシリコンゴムで、シール面4の材質は高ク
ローム鋳鉄である. [発明が解決しようとする課題コ しかしながら、従来技術においては原料通過時に、原料
がシール面に当たりシール面が摩耗するので、ベルの寿
命は1年半に限られていた.本発明は上記の問題点を解
決し、寿命の長い高炉ベルを提案することをその目的と
するものである.[課題を解決するための手段] 本発明に係る、高炉ベルは、該ベルの外周部に配したシ
ール面に隣接する、該シール面より該ベル中心方向に位
置する該ベル上表面に段差を配する高炉ベルである. [作用] 本発明における高炉ベルは、該ベルの外周部に配したシ
ール面に隣接する、該シール面より該ベル中心方向に位
置する該ベル上表面に段差を配する高炉ベルであって、
該ベル上表面を通過する原料はシール面を飛び越えるの
で、シール面は摩耗しない. [実施例〕 第1図は本発明の一実施例を示す説明図である.駆動軸
2に取り付けられた円錐台形の高炉ベル1は上下に動き
、原料通過時には、矢印で示すようにバルブシート3と
シール面4との間を通過する.原料蓄積時にはベルは上
