<Prior Art> Conventionally, in order to connect two or more printed circuit boards to each other, as shown in FIG. Insert it and fix it by soldering,
On the other hand, the connector 3 is attached to the end of the printed circuit board B by the contacts 4 planted therein, and the upper part of the contact 2 is inserted into the mounting hole of the connector 3, which is drilled parallel to the printed circuit board B. This connects substrates A and B.

Therefore, in this case, the connection of both printed circuit boards A and B is limited to connecting them at right angles to each other due to the structure of connectors 1 and 3, and it is necessary to stack both printed circuit boards A and B to make effective use of the space. Furthermore, it was impossible to change the configuration other than orthogonal connection, and therefore the range of use was extremely limited.

In another example shown in FIG. 12, one printed circuit board A is similar to the above example, but a connector 6 is mounted on one end of the other printed circuit board C, and contacts 4 are installed on the other printed circuit board C. The upper part of the contact 2 is inserted into the contact insertion hole of the connector 6, which is bored perpendicularly to the printed circuit board C, and the printed circuit boards A and B are connected to each other by overlapping. be.

Therefore, in this case, unlike the former conventional example, although it is possible to effectively utilize space by stacking the contacts 2 and 4, there is a limit to how short the connector 6 can be because both contacts 2 and 4 face each other. As a result, the opposing gap H between the printed circuit boards A and C cannot be reduced, and in reality, the gap H is limited to about 8 to 9 m/m.

In this case, even if the upper printed circuit board C is removed during repair work for IC elements, LSI elements, and other various circuit elements mounted on each side of both printed circuit boards A and C, it must be temporarily held in an upright position. In other words, in this case as well, it was impossible to change the aspect at all.

Also, a lower printed circuit board A as shown in FIG.
There is a means, such as a hybrid IC, for interposing and holding the printed circuit board D between the two supports 7, 7 which are set facing each other, using clips 8, 8 at the upper ends of the supports 7, 7. Both printed circuit boards A,
It was extremely difficult to repair the parts located between D. For example, when flow soldering the printed circuit board A, there is a risk that solder particles may accumulate between the printed circuit board A and the printed circuit board B, causing the circuit to shorten. To repair this, the supports 7, 7 of the hybrid IC had to be removed one by one, which was very inconvenient.

<Function> By inserting the pin holes of the connector fixed on one printed circuit board, which are perpendicular to the printed circuit board, into the pin plugs of the connector fixed on the other printed circuit board, The printed circuit boards are connected and held in parallel at regular intervals, and the remaining pin holes, that is, the pin holes provided in the direction parallel to the printed circuit board, are fitted into the pin holes of the connector on the mating printed circuit board. When mated, the two printed circuit boards are connected and held in a perpendicular state by fitting into the pin holes of the connectors on both printed circuit boards. By selectively replacing the pin plug with a pin plug, the configuration of both printed circuit boards can be changed in two directions. Moreover, in both of the above two embodiments, the dovetail fitting convex portion formed on one connector fits into the mating connector holding groove, and acts to stabilize the connection state between both printed circuit boards.

<Effects of the Invention> Since the present invention is configured as described above, the connector 20 can also be made smaller in size. or,
The connector 20 has two adjacent pin holes of the same shape and size.
Since it is provided on the side surface, the aspect of the board B can be changed in two directions, and as a result, maintenance and inspection of the circuit elements on both printed boards becomes easier. Moreover, the connector 20 is not only held by a pin plug, but also when the printed circuit board B is parallel to the circuit board A or when connected at right angles, the dovetail-shaped fitting protrusions formed on both end surfaces of the connector 20 are always maintained. Since it fits into the holding grooves 27, 27 of the mating connector, it is extremely stable against falling or twisting.

In addition, it is only necessary to prepare one type of terminal fitting inserted into the connector 20, and since the tongue of the terminal fitting has elasticity, it is possible to maintain sufficient electrical contact even when a pin plug is inserted. In addition to being able to maintain the temperature, the structure is simple and can be manufactured at low cost.
