考案の目的
本考案は屈曲した案内管に差し込むのに適した

自動車のエンジンルーム内に各種の機器が配置さ
れて空間が狭くなつたため、オイルパンに突設さ
れたゲージ差し込み用の案内管が周りの機器と干
渉しないように屈曲して設けられる場合が多くな
つており、このような屈曲した案内管に差し込む
ために、差込棒の部分を屈曲可能としたオイルレ
ベルゲージが開発されたが、抜き差しの際に、差
込棒の先端に装着されるゲージ片が案内管の内周
面に強く擦り付けられて大きな力を要する不具合
あつた。この不具合を回避するために、板状のゲ
ージ片の後端部に拡幅部を形成し、先端に内向き
の鍔を形成したキヤツプを、差込棒の先端面と鍔
の間に拡幅部を挟むように差込棒の先端に外嵌め
してかしめ付けにより固定することによつて、ゲ
ージ片を拡幅部を中心とする一定角度の首振り
と、軸心周りの回動を自由に支持する方法が考え
られたが、このような方法では、ゲージ片をキヤ
ツプに挿通しておいてキヤツプをかしめ付ける必
要があつて、組み付けに手間が掛かる不具合があ

の係止爪を形成し、該ゲージ片の後端部を、前記
両係止爪の弾力に抗して前記鍔の後方に構成され
た溝内に押し込んで、弾力により復元した前記両
係止爪の突出端を前記鍔に間隙をもつて対設した
ことを要旨とするものであつて、ゲージ片を差込
棒に取り付ける際に、ゲージ片の後端部を支持棒
の鍔の後方に構成された溝内に押し込むだけで良
いから、取付作業を迅速かつ簡単に行なうことが
できるとともに、係止爪の突出端が鍔に当たるこ
とによつて抜き方向の移動を阻止するようにした
から、ゲージ片が容易に抜けるおそれがなく、し
かも、ゲージ片が首振りと軸心周りの回動自由に
支持されていることによつて、屈曲した案内管に
挿入しまたは抜き出す際に、ゲージ片が回動と首
振りを生じてその屈曲が抑制されるから、付着し
た油が案内管の内周面に擦り取られることがな
く、油面の高さを鮮明に表示し得るとともに、案
内管との摺動抵抗が小さく、円滑に抜き差しする
ことができ、また、ゲージ片の差込棒との接続部
分に過大な曲げ力が作用せず耐久性に優れる効果
