More specifically, the present invention relates to a ski lubricant consisting of paraffin wax and fluorinated graphite which is stretched onto the running surface of a ski and is intended to improve downhill performance. (Prior Art) Lubricants that improve downhill performance by being applied to the running surface of skis have been known. For example, as this type of lubricant, paraffin wax such as aliphatic hydrocarbon, polyfluoroalkane, etc. are commercially available. These materials are heated and melted in advance, and used by uniformly applying and stretching the sliding surface of the ski using a heat source such as an iron. As is well known, in alpine ski competitions, skiers compete for 1/100th of a second, so the use of lubricants applied to the running surfaces of these skis is essential to shorten the downhill time. However, the above-mentioned paraffin wax, which has been conventionally used as a ski lubricant, deteriorates in performance due to dirt adhesion and oxidation reactions during skiing, and has problems in sustaining high-speed downhill skiing. In order to improve these problems, a fluorine-based skiwax composed of polyfluoroalkanes has been proposed (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 60-58496), but it cannot be said to have sufficient lubricating properties. In particular, the hardness of the lubricating surface formed by coating on the ski sole surface is insufficient. In other words, because the lubricating surface does not have sufficient hardness against hard snow (ice burn) and hard snow crystals, the lubricating surface breaks down and peels off in a short period of time, causing the desired lubricating properties to be exerted. I can't. (Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present invention was made in view of the drawbacks of the conventional ski lubricants described above. The inventors of the present invention have intensively studied ways to improve paraffin wax-based ski lubricants. As a result, it was discovered that when fluorinated graphite coexists with the fluorinated graphite, it is firmly held on the lubricated surface, resulting in improved hardness, and the heat resistance and lubrication properties of paraffin wax are also significantly improved. The present invention was thus completed. I ended up doing it.

The present invention relates to a ski lubricant that can provide excellent downhill performance. The structure of the present invention will be explained in detail below. The ski lubricant of the present invention contains the paraffin wax (li) component as described above. and fluorinated graphite 1i i) component. Each component will be explained in detail below. fil About paraffin wax ingredients. The ski lubricant of the present invention contains a fluorine-based compound containing the above-mentioned polyfluoroalkyl group (in addition to the il component,
Paraffin wax (contains the II component as an essential component. This type of paraffin wax has a basic skeleton represented by the general formula C1H211+1, and is generally a mixture of molecules where n is 4 to 36.Paraffin Looking at the peaks of the molecular weight distribution of wax, there are those that form a normal distribution with the maximum peak (single peak) at n = 14 to 18, or those that have multiple peaks at n = 16, 25, 30, etc. It has the function of solid lubricant. In addition, among these, when n is 13 or less, snow m
These paraffin waxes have a liquid state at (o'c to -5°C), have excellent non-wetting properties with water, and have a liquid lubrication function. In the present invention, any of the above-mentioned paraffin waxes can be used. can. The ski lubricant of the present invention contains a fluorine-based compound containing the above-mentioned polyfluoroalkyl group (in addition to the il component).
It contains a fluorinated graphite (ii) component as an essential component. This type of fluorinated graphite has a basic skeleton of the general formula CFII
(x represents 0.5 to 1.0) is a powder with high hardness. It is commonly used as a solid lubricant, and its particle size is between 0.5 um and 60 μm. The ski lubricant of the present invention preferably has a particle size of IOam or less.Although fluorinated graphite is a solid, it has low surface energy and high water non-wetting properties. It is considered to be an important component of lubricants for industrial use. In the ski lubricant of the present invention, the proportions of the paraffin wax (IL component and fluorinated graphite (II) component) are determined from the viewpoint of effectiveness and economy (IT is 50 to 95% by weight,
The content of tiil is preferably 5 to 50% by weight, but is not limited thereto. The reason why the ski lubricant of the present invention exhibits excellent lubricating properties by eliminating the disadvantages of using the paraffin wax component alone can be considered as follows. When lubricant is adsorbed onto the surface of the ski sole, typically high-density polyethylene, and particularly into its amorphous region, paraffin wax having a homogeneous skeleton strongly adsorbs first. Next, fluorinated graphite having a small surface energy is firmly held on the adsorption surface of this paraffin wax. In order to improve the lubrication properties of a ski lubricant, it is sufficient to improve its non-wetting properties against water, and this property is enhanced by graphite fluoride, which has better non-wetting properties than paraffin wax. Moreover, it goes without saying that the hardness of the lubricated surface is greatly changed by fluorinated graphite. In the present invention, as mentioned above, some paraffin wax components are liquid at snow temperatures and have a liquid lubrication function, so these components act as internal lubrication for the fluorinated graphite. This makes it difficult for fluorinated graphite to separate from the lubricated surface, resulting in stable lubricating properties. As mentioned above, the ski lubricant of the present invention contains paraffin wax and fluorinated graphite as essential components, but it goes without saying that known and commonly used additives can be added. . Additives of this type include, for example, as lubricating property and hardness modifiers, organic and inorganic ultrafine particles such as polyethylene, polytetrafluoroethylene, alumina, and silica, ultrafine short fibers such as potassium titanate, and silicon carbide. , graphite, talc, and platy materials such as mica. In addition, there are additives such as coloring agents such as dyes and pigments, lubricating agents such as silicone compounds, surfactants, and antioxidants. The ski lubricant of the present invention can take any form, whether solid or liquid. For example, in the case of a solid, the ski lubricant of the present invention preferably has a melting point of 100°C or less from the viewpoint of not thermally deteriorating the ski sole surface, but is not limited to this and may be solid as long as it is solid when used. . Then, these can be used by heating and melting them and spreading them uniformly on the running surface of skis using a heat source such as an iron. Further, in the case of a liquid in which the ski lubricant of the present invention is dissolved or dispersed in acetone, alcohol, water, etc., it may be used by applying it to the ski running surface by spraying or the like. In addition,
Paper, even if solid! Needless to say, it may be used by impregnating fabrics, knitted fabrics, or nonwoven fabrics and then applying it to the sole surface. (Examples) Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples, but the present invention is not limited in any way by these Examples. Examples 1 to 3/Comparative Examples 1 to 4 +11 Ski Lubricant Table 1 shows the types of ski lubricants used. In addition,
The paraffin wax used was manufactured by ToKo Co., Ltd., and the fluorinated graphite was manufactured by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. and had a particle size of 0.2 μm. (2) Application conditions for ski lubricant As waxing, the ski lubricant listed in Table 1 was heated and melted, applied to the ski running surface, and spread uniformly with an iron. Next, the coated ski was cooled at 10° C. for 8 hours, and then the ski lubricant coated surface was scraped off with a plastic flapper so that it was smooth, and the ski sliding surface was smoothed with a nylon brush. (3) Performance evaluation of ski lubricant The skis coated as described above were actually skied, and the performance was evaluated. The skiing conditions were as follows. 2 people The performance evaluation of ski lubricant was performed using the average value of 5 skis for initial speed and average speed. I did it. The results are also shown in Table 1. (Left below) [Effects of the Invention] The ski lubricant of the present invention has excellent initial speed and average speed without any sliding properties that are not found in conventional paraffin wax-based ski lubricants. Favorable results can be obtained in competitive alpine competitions. In addition, the lubricating surface has excellent hardness characteristics, and can exhibit stable lubrication characteristics even on hard snow. Furthermore,
Excellent lubrication properties can be maintained on the course from the low temperature start point (alpine competition) to the relatively warm finish point [-].
