Prior Art Foil fabrics using gold and silver threads as warp threads have been known for some time, but this type of fabric is required not only to have the tension to withstand the vertical movement of the heddles and the back-and-forth movement of the reeds, but also to have other abrasion resistance. The warp is gold and silver thread with a core made of synthetic fiber or semi-synthetic fiber of 50 to 40 deniers, with a width of 200μ to 500μ and a thickness of 12μ or more.
Only some products, such as 100μ synthetic resin film or flat foil yarn made from a composite material of synthetic resin film and Japanese paper, have been put into practical use. However, these gold and silver threads lacked luster and were extremely hard, so it was thought that it was impossible to obtain fabrics that were practical for clothing. Furthermore, when gold and silver threads are used for the warp threads, it is difficult to use gold and silver threads for the weft threads, and although gold and silver threads may be used partially for the weft threads, it is difficult to obtain a fabric with a good texture and excellent metallic luster throughout. .

That is, in the present invention, by using a special gold and silver thread for the warp thread, which is lightweight and very easy to handle, it is possible to produce various kinds of very attractive foil fabrics that are flexible and have excellent metallic luster.

It is difficult to apply intermittent twisting to flat foil yarns made of paper as a base material or flat foil yarns made of thick polyester films that can be generally vapor-deposited.
As in the present invention, a flat foil yarn based on a very thin synthetic resin film can be naturally twisted intermittently, making it extremely easy to handle.
The degree of twist is not particularly limited, but is generally 2 to 15
It is preferable to use a material with intermittent twisting so that twisted portions of 2 to 15 cm are present at cm intervals.

The deformed gold and silver thread, which is made of only flat foil thread and has different thicknesses, is a new product devised by the inventor of the present application, but it is made of extremely thin material and has no core thread. Because the thickness varies, it can be folded in half or in half to pass through narrow thread paths without difficulty, and is easy to warp, and even when used at high density and woven, the weave is light due to the space available. It is. For example, when using these deformed gold and silver threads, the weight is 1/1 in the same area ratio.

In addition, deformed gold and silver thread is woven by folding the flat part in half or in half at the reed or heddle part, but the wide flat part emits a strong glow due to the specular reflection of light, and when twisted lightly. The luster becomes weaker in the narrower parts, giving off a moderate amount of shading, while the entire surface of the fabric exhibits an interesting gold-silver color, making it possible to manufacture foil fabrics with a complex luster and rich in design effects. .

The foil fabric of the present invention is a fabric in which such deformed gold and silver threads are used as the ground warp, and a drowned thread made of ordinary thread is attached to the ground warp to form a ground structure together with the ground weft. Threads with a large surface area, such as foil threads, are woven as weft threads by drowning threads so as to shield the ground weft threads.

Ordinary yarn may be used as the ground weft, but
It is preferable to use modified gold and silver threads similar to the ground warp threads. In this case, it is possible to obtain a fabric that is lighter in weight, has a good texture, and has a noble metallic luster throughout.

In addition, it is preferable to use flat foil yarn and/or twisted gold and silver thread (ordinary gold and silver thread) as the weft thread that is woven by the drowning thread so as to shield the ground weft thread.

In addition, in the present invention, a wide thread such as a flat foil thread is woven simultaneously on one side of the ground fabric as a weft thread so as to shield the ground weft thread, but this wide thread can only be woven with a drowning thread. As a result, on one side of the fabric, wide threads with a design effect such as flat foil threads, which are different from the ground weave, appear neatly lined up, and the front and back sides look significantly different, and both have a very solemn appearance. It is also possible to obtain a fabric that has the appearance and feel of a softened ``kinkarapi'' used in the kari-hakama of feudal lords.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, this fabric has flat foil threads etc. woven into the ground structure in an orderly manner, so the ground texture with excellent metallic luster can be seen here and there from the breaks in the flat foil threads, etc., which cannot be expected with conventional fabrics. It is possible to obtain a unique design effect with a solemn and three-dimensional effect.
This effect is particularly noticeable when the flat foil thread or the like is dark colored.

Example 1 Patent No. 1097503 based on synthetic resin film
A golden film sheet manufactured by the manufacturing method according to No. 195647 and Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 195647 was 0.01 mm thick and 1.5 mm wide.
A deformed gold thread was produced by making a flat foil thread of mm in diameter and repeating twisted parts of about 4 cm (twisting: about 300 times/m) at intervals of about 6 cm (see Figure 1). . This deformed gold thread is warped as ground warp thread 2 with a weaving width of 35 cm and 500 threads, and separately warped with 500 ordinary threads as ground warp thread 1, and the same deformed gold thread as above is used as ground weft thread 3. The fabric was woven into a structure as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 using flat foil yarn 4, which was colored with mother-of-pearl on black lacquer, as a weft. This fabric is elegant, with the gold deformed threads on the lower structure subtly revealing and shining from the weave space of the black mother-of-pearl threads on the front surface. When turned over to the back side, it has an astringent taste rich in the strength and weakness of shadows. It was a brilliant golden object, unparalleled anywhere in the world. In this way, a very beautiful foil fabric with extremely different design sensibilities on the front and back sides was obtained, and a single piece of this fabric could be used for multiple purposes such as fukusa and decorative cloth.

Example 2 A vermilion arabesque pattern was transfer-printed on the entire surface of the product of Example 1 using a disperse dye. Thereafter, a green arabesque pattern was printed on the back side in the same manner as above.

The metal layer on both the front and back sides prevents the dye from seeping out to the back side, so vivid patterns in completely different colors are dyed on each side, resulting in an interesting foil fabric with completely different design effects on the front and back sides.

Effects of the invention The fabric of the invention uses very thin flat foil threads, which are wider than ordinary flat foil threads, intermittently twisted and warped in combination with drowned threads made of ordinary threads. Moreover, since the weft is woven so that the wide flat foil threads are exposed on the surface, the product is light and has a unique noble metallic luster.
