Abstract

PURPOSE:To make connections water-proof simply and exactly as well as raise the appearance of the connecting structure by a method in which a water absorp tive resin is provided between the connections of rain troughes or between the connections between rain trough and connecting parts. CONSTITUTION:Connecting parts 5 having an inner surface form along the peripheral shape of eaves troughes 6 are set across the troughs 6. Couplers 5a and 5 to surrounded the upper edges of the lugs 6a of each eaves trough 6 and also to fix the parts 5 to each trough 6 are formed on the connecting part 5. A water absorptive resin 7 to be expanded in volume upon absorption of water is provided in two lines correspondingly to two troughs 6 to be con nected on the inner surface of the connecting part 5 in contact with the periph ery of each trough 6. As the resin 7, acrylic acid based polymers such as sodium polyacrylate of high polymerization degree may be used.

Further, the means shown in FIGS. 9(a) and 9(b) uses an elastic body (foam) 4 such as rubber, and a gutter (not shown) is used.
The connecting member 3, which is arranged along the shape of the gutter and across the gutter, has an engagement member that engages with the ear of the aircraft from the outer periphery of the gutter to fix the connecting member 3 to the gutter. A groove 3b for attaching an elastic body 4 is formed so as to protrude outward on both sides of the inner circumference, and the elastic body 4 is fitted into the groove 3b. And when connecting gutters.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, with the gutter connecting means shown in FIGS. 8(a) and (b), if the adhesive 2 is not applied properly during gutter connection construction, it is difficult to ensure the fitting gap. In addition to being unable to fill the fitting gap, which may cause water leakage, there are other problems such as the fact that it takes a considerable amount of time and effort to apply adhesive 2 to reliably fill the fitting gap.

また、第9図(a)、(b)に示す樋接続手段では。Moreover, in the gutter connection means shown in FIGS. 9(a) and 9(b).

Since the groove 3b for attaching the elastic body 4 is formed in the connecting member 3 so as to protrude outward, the thickness of the groove 3b (elastic body 4) is added to the thickness of the connecting member 3 itself, making a one-step difference noticeable. This greatly obstructs the horizontal line of the eaves and is unfavorable in terms of appearance.

In this embodiment, the inner circumferential surface (joint surface) side of the connecting member 5 that is in contact with the outer circumferential surface of each eaves gutter 6 is shown in FIG. 1(a).
As shown in FIG. 2, two strips of water-absorbing resin 7, which expands in volume when it absorbs water, are provided corresponding to the two eaves gutters 6, 6 to be connected. Here, as the water-absorbing resin 7, an acrylic acid polymer such as highly polymerized sodium polyacrylate is used, and when it comes into contact with water, the volume expands rapidly, and once absorbed water is subjected to some pressure. The one that hardly misses is used.

When connecting the eaves gutters 6 and 6 to each other using the connecting member 5 configured as described above, the eaves gutters 6 and 6 to be connected to the connecting member 5 are connected to each other as shown by arrows A and A in FIG. 6, and as shown in FIG. 1(b), while the eaves gutters 6, 6 are butted together, the outer circumferential surface of the end of each eaves gutter 6, 6 is located at the position of the two strips of water-absorbing resin 7, 7, respectively. Arrange it so that Through such operations, a connection structure in which the absorbent resin 7 is interposed between the inner circumferential surface of the connecting member 5 and the outer circumferential surface of each eaves 4ii6 is constructed.

Next, with reference to FIGS. 3(a) to 3(d), the process of water stopping and waterproofing in the connection structure of this embodiment configured as described above will be explained. Here, as shown in FIG. 3(a), it is assumed that a gap 8 is generated near a part of the corner when the connecting member 5 and the eaves gutter 6 are fitted together in a dry sunny weather. In this state, rain begins to fall and the rainwater 9 flowing inside the eaves gutter 6 is shown in Fig. 3 (
As shown in b), it penetrates into the gap 8 and comes into contact with the water absorbent resin 7 between the connecting member 5 and the eaves gutter 6. rainwater 9
When it comes into contact with the water-absorbent resin 7, the water-absorbent resin 7 rapidly expands in volume while absorbing rainwater 9, as shown in FIG. 3(c), and finally, as shown in FIG. 3(d). As shown in the figure, the gap 8 is completely filled with the volume-expanded water-absorbing resin 7. Therefore, even if rainwater 9 penetrates into the gap 8 from within the eaves gutter 6, the rapidly expanded water-absorbing resin 7 prevents the rainwater 9 from leaking out of the eaves gutter 6, and the water is reliably stopped. . Note that the water-absorbing resin 7 that has expanded as shown in FIG. 3(d) will return to the state shown in FIG. 3(a) when the weather becomes clear and dries.

In addition, since the water-absorbing resin 7 has a large volumetric expansion due to water absorption, it can be made into a sheet with a thinner thickness than conventional materials such as rubber. As is clear from the comparison.

In this way, according to the structure of this embodiment, there is no need to apply adhesive as in the past, and the construction is extremely simple (one-touch construction), while reliably watertight at the connection part. In addition to being able to connect illustrators,
It has the advantage of being able to form a smart and good-looking connection without outward steps or protrusions.

In the connection structure configured in this way, the water-absorbing resin 1
Due to the action of 6, this embodiment can achieve a water stop effect with extremely simple construction in exactly the same way as the first embodiment.
In this embodiment, the connecting member 10 is attached from the inside of the eave gutter 11, and the connecting member 10 is attached from the inside of the eaves gutter 11, and the connecting member 10 is attached to the locking grooves 12, 13 and the locking portion 14.
.. 15, the connecting member 10 is fixed and its locking portion is not exposed to the outside of the eaves gutter 11. Therefore, the connecting member 1o is not exposed to the outside of the eaves gutter 11 at all, and the first embodiment The appearance can be further improved than the example.

By the way, water absorbent resin 7,1 used in the present invention
When No. 6 is exposed to light, it may deteriorate due to radical reactions, etc., and its water absorption performance may decrease. As mentioned above, the water-absorbing resins 7, 16 provided on the connecting members 5, 1o will be used to connect the connecting members 5, 10 and the eaves gutters 6, 1 once they are actually installed.
Since it is not sandwiched between the connecting member 5.1 and exposed to light at all, the water absorbing performance does not deteriorate. It is desirable to protect the water absorbent resins 7 and 16 from light. Therefore, after providing the water-absorbing resins 7 and 16 on the connecting members 5 and 1o, a shielding member such as a light-shielding film, tape, or sheet is placed on the water-absorbing resins 7 and 16 using a weak adhesive. The connecting members 5 and 1o are pasted and used by peeling off the shielding member when connecting the eaves gutters 6 and 11 to each other. This makes it possible to connect the eaves gutters 6 and 11 without impairing the water absorption performance of the water absorbent resin 7.16.

[Effects of the Invention] As detailed above, according to the rain gutter connection structure of the present invention, the gutter parts can be connected to each other with simple construction due to the extremely simple structure of interposing the water-absorbing resin in the connection part. In addition to being able to reliably shut off water at the connection part, it also has the effect of forming a good-looking connection part with no outward protrusion.
