などして成長肥大し過大な張力が生じて断線に到るよう
な重大事故に発展するのを未然に防止するため、電線上
の雪を早期に強制的に落下させるための打撃式落雷装置

しかし、上記した既提案の落雷装置を試作し実証試験を
行なった結果によれば、降雪量が非常に多い場合にはス
パイラルロッド2により着雪をがき落す能力に限界があ
り、スパイラルロッドを駆動しても着雪する雪の厚さが
少しづつ増大して行き、最後には胎動か停止せしめられ
る場合のあることが判明した6あるいはまた、スパイラ
ルロッドか氷結しそれによって強固に固定されてしまい
、その後に降雪かあってもこれを駆動させることかでき
