Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove snow completely from cables by striking a spiral rod wound and installed in the longitudinal direction while forming a gap between the spiral rod and a transmission line by a stroke type device. CONSTITUTION:A spiral rod 2 shaping a gap G is wound and mounted to a wire 1, and the terminal sections of one end or both ends of the spiral rod 2 are fixed by a support piece 3. A hammer 4 uses a current transformer 6 as a power supply, and is driven by a drive section 5 connected by a lead 7. The hammer 4 is driven up and down, and strikes the spiral rod 2. Striking vibrations given to the spiral rod 2 by the hammer 4 are not damped so much, and are transmitted over overall winding length while employing the spiral rod 2 as a propagation medium. Snow capped onto the wire 1 is dropped by the vibrations of the spiral rod 2. When snowfall is heavy and the quantity of snow attached to the wire 1 is increased, the striking pitches of the hammer 4 are accelerated, thus preventing the fixing of the hammer 4.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Field of Application 1] The present invention is a method for making snow and ice on a power transmission line fall by transmitting vibrations caused by a blow, and growing the snow that has fallen on the power line into a snow cone. This invention relates to a strike-type lightning strike device for forcibly dropping snow on electric wires at an early stage in order to prevent them from becoming swollen and generating excessive tension, leading to serious accidents that could lead to wire breakage.

[Prior art] It has been reported from time to time that when snow falls on power transmission lines and spins and thickens to form a snow pipe, the weight of the snow causes excessive or large amounts of power to be generated, leading to the worst-case scenario such as disconnection of power lines or even the collapse of steel towers. It is as stated.

In order to prevent such accidents, rings are fitted onto the wires to form fin-like protrusions.
There are proposals to prevent the rotation of simple snow, but they are insufficient and are only effective on certain types of snow.

Furthermore, in order to melt snow directly, there are proposals to attach magnetic materials to electric wires to utilize the heat generated by hysteresis loss, or to wrap heaters directly around electric wires, but these methods do not generate enough heat or consume a large amount of power. However, it is not necessarily practical.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the applicant previously proposed a lightning strike device as shown in FIG.

(Patent Application No. 154.087/1987 , a driving device 8 connected by a lead wire 7 and powered by a current transformer 6 drives a driving connecting rod 9 connected to the spiral rod, forcing the spiral rod 2 to rotate or move as shown in the arrow. However, according to the results of prototype testing of the previously proposed lightning strike device described above, the amount of snowfall is extremely low. If there is a lot of snow, there is a limit to the ability of the spiral rod 2 to scrape off the snow, and even if the spiral rod is driven, the thickness of the snow will gradually increase, and eventually the fetus will stop moving. It has also been found that there are cases where the spiral rod freezes and becomes firmly fixed, making it impossible to drive it even if it snows afterwards.
