[Conventional technology and problems] Conventionally, in this type of flat electrolytic capacitor, a capacitor element pressed into a flat shape is impregnated with electrolyte, and then the capacitor element is assembled into a flat case together with a sealing body. Due to this structure, the capacitor element inevitably swells after being assembled into the case. Due to this swelling, the so-called distance between the anode foil and the cathode foil expands.
The disadvantage is that the characteristics as an electrolytic capacitor deteriorate, and the space ratio inside the case decreases, so even if the amount of gas generated inside is small, the explosion-proof valve installed in the case or sealing body can easily operate. There is a drawback. In addition, a fixing agent such as adhesive polypropylene is used to fix the capacitor element inside the case, but as the case becomes thinner and smaller, there is no space to fill the fixing agent, making it difficult to fix the capacitor element. It has become a thing.

Furthermore, when assembling the sealing body into the flat case, it is necessary to correctly position the sealing body, which is a cumbersome operation.

[Summary of the invention] However, the present invention provides a flat electrolytic capacitor in which a concave surface is formed in the case for the purpose of suppressing the swelling of the capacitor element and fixing the capacitor element, as well as facilitating the positioning of the sealing body. It is something to do.

[Example] Below, a flat electrolytic capacitor according to the present invention will be explained with reference to the drawings. In this flat electrolytic capacitor 1, the capacitor element 2 is made into a flat shape by winding an anode foil and a cathode foil made of aluminum foil with a separator made of electrolytic paper interposed therebetween, and pressing them together. The outer periphery of the capacitor element 2 is electrically insulated by wrapping the same separator or other insulating tape. The bottomed flat case 3 having an opening surface 3e on one side is made of aluminum or the like.
Both flat side surfaces 3f, 3f extending from the opening side to the vicinity of the bottom 3g, excluding the vicinity, are provided with step portions 3b that can lock the sealing body 4 to be incorporated through the tip edge 4a thereof. concave surfaces 3a, 3a are respectively formed, which enable the formation of a space having a width approximately equal to the thickness of the capacitor element 2 in the length direction.

The capacitor element 2 is incorporated into the case 3 together with the sealing body 4 after being impregnated with a required electrolyte. During this installation, the sealing body 4 is held in contact with the stepped portion 3b defining the concave surface 3a via its tip edge 4a, and is correctly positioned. The open end of the case 3 is curled 3c, and the sealing portion of the case 3 is drawn 3d.

[Effects of the invention] As described above, according to the invention, the capacitor element 2 is supported by coming into contact with the concave surface 3a formed in the case 3, so that it can be easily fixed within the case 3. . However, the sealing body 4, which is incorporated into the case 3 together with the capacitor element 2, can be locked to the stepped portion 3b defining the concave surface 3a via its tip edge 4a, so its positioning is easy. can be done. Also,
When the capacitor element 2 swells, the concave surface 3a suppresses this swelling, making it possible to prevent the distance between the electrodes from increasing and also preventing the space ratio inside the case 3 from decreasing. . Furthermore, a fixing agent for fixing the capacitor element can be made unnecessary, and the strength of the case 3 itself is increased by the concave surface 3a, and its deformation is also improved.
