Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a quick-drying correction liquid, consisting essentially of a saturated type thermoplastic elastomer as a binder, paraffinic hydrocarbon as a solvent and titanium white as a colorant, capable of covering an masking letters, etc., using all kinds of inks and excellent in adhesion to paper, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective office correction liquid consisting essentially of a saturated type thermoplastic elastomer (e.g. an elastomer prepared by hydrogenating unsaturated bonds in the polybutadiene part of an SB-based thermoplastic elastomer to provide the saturated type) as a binder, a paraffinic hydrocarbon (e.g. n-heptane) as a solvent and titanium white as a colorant.

(Prior art) Generally, the characters to be corrected are made up of two types of ink, water-based and oil-based, so it is necessary to use two types of correction fluid, water-based and oil-based, to prevent each ink from dissolving. It didn't happen. Naturally, there is a desire for a correction fluid that is compatible with both water-based and oil-based correction fluids.

Whether the ink used is water-based or oil-based,
It is necessary to use a solvent that does not dissolve the ink. Suitable solvents for this are paraffinic hydrocarbons, which are poor solvents. However, when paraffinic hydrocarbons are used, t! Currently, there is no one suitable for one finger, and there are no good correction fluids for both water-based and oil-based inks. All commercially available correction fluids that are called all-purpose types used to correct oil-based and water-based inks are solvents. The main ingredient of these is methylcyclohexane. When correcting dry copies, some of the fixed toner ink dissolves due to the methylcyclohexane, making the correction insufficient. This correction fluid uses a system solvent.

[Structure of the Invention] (Means for Solving the Problem) Paraffinic carbon and arsenic were selected as solvents because they do not dissolve both water-based and oil-based inks. For example, n-hexane, n- As a result of intensive research into selecting a binder that dissolves well in these solvents, such as butane and fP solvent, and that disperses titanium white as a coloring agent well, Asahi C-Hisei Kogyo was selected as a saturated thermoplastic elastomer. Upper molded Touch I series (Touch I series)
1041, Tuftenkle 11911. etc.) was found to be perfect for this purpose. This resin is a saturated elastomer by hydrogenating the unsaturated bonds in the polybutadiene portion of the conventional SB-based mature thermoplastic elastomer, and has improved weather resistance and heat resistance. It has good dispersibility, and the viscosity can be lowered at the same concentration of titanium white than a patch made with paraffinic hydrocarbon, titanium white, and this elastomer, or a correction fluid made with SBB elastomer.

Therefore, it becomes possible to increase the content of titanium white at the same viscosity. This allows for correction fluids with high hiding power.

(For 1 layer) The touch-type elastomer used in the present invention has good dispersibility of titanium white in paraffin hydrocarbon.
It is thought that the paper, etc. necessary for correction fluid is used.
The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to Examples below, but of course, the present invention is not limited to the Examples. Example 1: 4.5 g of Toughtic M-1911 was dissolved in 455 g of n-hebutane, 50 g of rutile titanium white was added to this solution, and the mixture was thoroughly stirred to prepare a correction liquid. When the mixture was used to correct lines and facsimile prints made with ballpoint pens, oil-based felt pens, water-based felt-tip pens, fountain pens, and electronic draft toner, a quick-drying white paint film was formed that could be sufficiently covered with a brush. It was found that it functions satisfactorily as a correction fluid.
