Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a blower of the type in which a rotor shaft has a blower impeller, so as to reduce the cost of assembly, by forming as the blower impeller a rotor itself which consists of a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION: A blower 10 has a casing 12, which consists of casing parts 14, 16, with the casing part 14 having a suction port 18 and having a plurality of spit ports 22 in its outer peripheral surface 20. A motor 24 has a stator 26 having a stator coil 28 and placed on a stator plate 30. A rotor shaft 34 is supported against the bearing 32 of the stator 26 and a rotor 38 is secured thereto, is made of a plastic-coupled magnetic substance, and magnetized. The disc-shaped main body 40 of the rotor 38 has a plurality of blades 50 on its end face 42 and time rotor 38 forms a blower impeller 52 as well. Thus, a structure is simplified and the cost of manufacture can be reduced.
