Various methods are used to mold pad materials depending on their properties and uses, but for example, in the molding of front seat backs for automobiles, the front seat pack 1-metal production efficiency as shown in Figure 3 has recently been developed. In order to achieve good results, integral foam molding is often used. In the figure, 2 is a plate, 3 is a urethane pad, 4 is a headrest stay, and 5 is a frame. The front seat back 1 has an upper mold 7 as shown in FIG.
The frame 5 with the plate 2 and the springs 6 is placed in a mold consisting of a lower mold 8 and a polyurethane raw material is injected, foamed and cured, and then integrally molded with the urethane pad 3.

However, because of this plate 2, it is not possible to freely adjust the elasticity of the backrest 11 shown in FIG. It ends up. For this reason, there has been a demand for a molding method that can clearly adjust the elasticity of desired portions even when integrally molding a pad material having the plate 2 and the like as described above.

Properties such as the size and shape of the nozzle are appropriately selected depending on the position, volume, shape, etc. of the space to be formed. It is convenient to provide the nozzle with a check valve to prevent the foaming material from flowing backwards when air is blown into the nozzle. It is best to provide a sealing groove between the mold and the nozzle. For example, if this groove is self-sealed with foamed raw material, workability is improved.

Since it is not possible to form the desired space once curing is completed, the optimum timing for blowing air is determined in advance through experiments or the like.

The elasticity of the desired part can be adjusted by adjusting the space between the ribs.

At this time, when a predetermined amount of air is blown from the tip of the nozzle 13, which is attached to the upper die 7 and inserted into the urethane pad 3 through a hole made in the plate 2, as shown by the arrow in the figure, the foam cell is destroyed and the urethane Space W according to the amount of air blown into pad 3
514 is formed. Since this space 14 is surrounded by a resin film 15 made of destroyed form cells, the flexure space 1 maintains appropriate elasticity without feeling bottomed out.
It is possible to produce 4.

A ball-shaped check valve 161fr is installed at the tip of the nozzle 13 to prevent the polyurethane raw material in the process of foaming from entering the nozzle 13, and also to prevent the polyurethane raw material from leaking from between the upper mold 7 and the nozzle 13. In addition, air can be blown using a nozzle with a simple structure, and there is no need for a core or mold with a complex structure.Furthermore, the position and number of nozzles can be changed freely. By this, a pad material having desired elasticity can be easily obtained.
