Claims (1)

と、圧接が解除される非転写姿勢との間を移動可
能に構成された転写ユニツトと、前記一方の回転
体に電荷を付与することにより前記転写ベルトを
帯電する電荷付与手段との備えた画像形成装置に
おいて、 前記転写ベルト上の異物をクリーニングするク
リーニング手段が、前記転写ユニツトが非転写姿
勢にあるときには前記一方の回転体外周の転写ベ
ルトに圧接する一方、転写姿勢にあるときには該
回転体外周の転写ベルトと非圧接状態となる位置
に配置されていることを特徴とする画像形成装置

粒子と逆極性の電荷を回転体に付与して転写可能
