Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect changeover of knot and yarn feeding body and smoothly carry out control of weft-inserting condition in changeover and control of supplying motion by applying coloring to the vicinity of knot of yarns ranging between plural yarn feeding bodies and detecting the colored part. CONSTITUTION:Coloring is applied to a knot 9 of yarns ranging between plural yarn feeding bodies 21 and 22 and the colored knot part 9 is detected with a color sensor 11 provided between yarn feeding bodies 21, 22 and a length- measuring and storing device 4. Changeover of the knot and yarn feeding body 21, 22 is surely detected in non-contact state. Detection of knot which needs supply motion and changeover can also be carried out by applying coloring with a color different from the other knots to the vicinity of a knot of yarn feeding body which needs supply motion.

With the above object in mind, the first invention, as shown in Embodiment 1 described later, provides coloring in advance near the knots of the threads connected between the yarn supplying bodies, and connecting the yarn supplying body and the length measuring storage device. A color sensor is provided in between, and by detecting the colored portion with this color sensor, the switching state of the yarn supply body can be detected.

The yarn 1 for weft insertion is passed through a plurality of yarn feeders 21, for example, two yarn feeders 21.

The length measurement storage device 4 measures the length of the yarn 1 by winding it around the outer periphery of a stationary drum 6 by the rotational movement of the rotating yarn guide 5, and stores the yarn 1 in a locking bin 7 until the weft insertion timing.

When the locking bin 7 retreats from the circumferential surface of the drum 6 at the weft-inserting timing, the main nozzle 8 for weft-inserting pulls out the unwound yarn l from the circumferential surface of the drum 6 and collects it together with the weft-inserting fluid. Insert the weft thread as a weft thread while the material is still unopened.

Here, the two yarn supplying bodies 21 and 22 are connected at a winding start portion and a winding end portion, and can be identified by coloring 9 of a suitable color different from the color of the yarn 1 between them. For example, an amorphous visible light type color sensor 11 is provided between the two yarn guides 10 between the yarn supply bodies 21 and 22 and the length measurement storage device 4. The color sensor 11 is connected to each input terminal of a comparator 14 together with a threshold value setter 13 via an amplifier 12. The output terminal of this comparator 14 is connected to the AND condition together with the loom operating signal.
It is connected to the AND circuit 15.

While the yarn 1 is being pulled out from the yarn supplying body 21, the color sensor 11 detects the color of the yarn 1n body and generates a color signal of a level corresponding to the detected color.

When the yarn feeder 21 is switched to a new yarn feeder 22 and the colored part 9 near the knot passes in front of the color sensor 11, the color signal of the color sensor 11 is different from the yarn 1n body, that is, the non-colored part. signal level. Then, the comparator 14 compares the level of the color signal corresponding to the coloring 9 with a threshold value preset by the setting device 3, and when the magnitude relationship changes, for example, the "H" level is switched. Generate a signal. As a result, when the AND circuit 15 is in the operating state, it passes the "H" level switching signal with the operating signal at the II H11 level as an input condition.
It is sent to a weft control device (not shown), etc. At this point, the weft insertion control device controls the yarn feeder 21, 22 by changing the fluid pressure and jetting period of the main nozzle 8.
Regardless of the switching, the arrival timing of the thread during weft insertion is controlled to a constant value.

[Embodiment 2] This embodiment 2 is shown in FIG. 2, and detects switching between the yarn supplying bodies 21 or 22, and detects when a certain group of yarn supplying bodies 21 is consumed. This is an example in which a replenishment operation is announced in preparation for replenishment of a new group of yarn feeders 22...2n.

When yarn feeders 21, 22 switch within the same group, R
The serial AND circuit 15 generates a switching signal as in the first embodiment. In addition, a certain group of thread supply bodies 21
When the yarn feeder 22 of a new group is consumed and the yarn feeder 22 of a new group is used, the G-series comparator 14 generates a replenishment signal under the condition of an "H" level operation signal, and uses a lamp or buzzer to notify the user. The yarn feeder 22 is sent to the feeding position by operating the device 16 or by starting the automatic feeding device 17.

In addition, during manual replenishment, the mechanic etc. replenishes one or more groups of yarn feeders 21, 22 according to the operating state of this alarm 16, and ties the yarn l between these groups. By doing so, preparation is made for continuous supply of yarn 1.

In the present invention, in the process of pulling out the yarn from the yarn supplier,
Since the color sensor detects the switching state of the yarn feeder without contact based on the coloring near the knot between the yarn feeders, excessive tension is not applied to the yarn during the detection process, and there is no damage to the yarn like in the conventional method. No more thread breakage.

In addition, by changing the coloring for switching and the coloring for requesting replenishment operation of the yarn feeder,
Depending on the color identification, it is possible to identify the switching state and the state that requires replenishment of the yarn feeder, so it is possible to not only control the wefting conditions associated with switching, but also control the replenishment operation and the necessary operations associated with it. It can also be used for advance notice.
