Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid adhering of chips caused at punching time to the tip face of a punch and to smoothen the following punching work, by providing at least two or more sharp parts whose lengths in the axial directions differ each other to the tip edge part on a punching member. CONSTITUTION:The tip part of a punch 26 has a pair of sharp parts 26a, 26b whose lengths in the axial directions differ and the side face shape is made in a deformed V shape. As a result, the force required for punching a magnetic card 1 by using the punch made in a bilateral symmetric V shape viewed from the side face becomes at a small value. Moreover, a chip 7 is surely falls to the center hole 23 of a die member 16 because of the end face 26c of the punch 26 not becoming in a plane. Consequently, the magnetic card 1 is punched and the chip 7 thereof is stored from the center hole 23 into the chip storing part arranged at the lower side thereof.

<Prior Art> For example, some magnetic card readers/writers for reading/writing prepaid cards used in public telephones and the like are equipped with a punching device to allow the user to visually confirm information such as the usage status of the card. A punching device for such a reader/writer is composed of a punch member having a generally cylindrical punch, a die member corresponding to the punch member, and a solenoid device that drives one of these two members. , as shown in FIG. 4, the magnetic card 1 is inserted into the die member 2.
The magnetic card 1 is punched by inserting the punch 4 of the punch member 3 disposed above the die member 2 into the hole 5 provided in the die member 2, and the chips 7 are inserted into the hole 5. It is made to fall downward from the top. Here, conventionally, the tip of the punch 4 has one point on the tip protruding as a sharpened portion 4a in order to minimize the force for punching the card 1, and when viewed from the side from this sharpened portion 4a, Although it has a diagonally inclined shape, since the tip surface 4C is flat, there is a problem that the chips 7 will be attracted to this tip surface 4C due to static electricity and become an obstacle to the next drilling operation. Ta.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5, if a punch is used, which has a pair of sharp parts 4a and 4b of equal axial length on the tip edge and whose tip has a V-shape in side view, Although there is no fear that the chips 7 will be attracted to the punch 4, the force required for the punching operation is greater than in the case where there is one sharp portion, so there is a problem that the solenoid device as the driving means becomes larger.

At the free end of the movable support plate 14, which is the side edge opposite to the support pin 15, a die member 1 is provided so as to stand upwardly.
6 is installed. The movable support plate 14 is formed with a hole 17 whose diameter is slightly larger than the reduced diameter portion 16a formed at the base end of the die member 16, and the reduced diameter portion 16a of the die member 16 is inserted into the hole 17. A die member 16 is swingably supported on the movable support plate 14 by being loosely inserted and prevented from coming out, for example, by an E-ring. The head side of the die member 16 is guided by a sleeve 18 embedded in a corresponding position in the base 11 so as to be slidable in the vertical direction. Furthermore, the lower surface of the free end of the movable support plate 14 is supported by one L-shaped locking piece screwed to the base 11, thereby regulating the lower end position of the movable support plate 14. A coil spring 25 is provided between the free end of the movable support plate 14 and the base 11 to bias the movable support plate 14 downward.

An overhanging punch support member 20 is fixed to the upper surface of one side of the base 11.
A punch member 21 is fixed downwardly at a position aligned with the opening at the upper end of the center hole 23 passing through the die member 16 in the axial direction. Therefore, the punch member 21 and the die member 16 face each other from above and below the magnetic card 1 that is transported along a predetermined transport path and is located on the upper surface 22 of the base 11. Note that a presser plate 24 having a flat surface facing the upper surface 22 is supported on the punch support portion 20 so as to be freely displaceable in the vertical direction, and a punch member is provided at a position of the presser plate 24 corresponding to the punch member 21. A through hole is provided so as not to interfere with 21.

As clearly shown in FIG. 2, a punch 26 having a generally cylindrical shape and having a diameter of about 1.2 mm is provided on the punch member 21 in a protruding manner. At the tip of the punch 26, a first sharp portion 26a and a second sharp portion 26b are formed at the left end and the right end, respectively, when viewed from the side, and the tip surface 26c is concave.

This first sharp portion 26a is longer than the second sharp portion 26b by a length m set in the range of 0°1 mm to 0.3 mm in the axial direction, so that the side shape of the punch 26 is irregular. It forms a seven-figure shape.

According to this embodiment, when both the solenoids 13a and 13b are in the de-energized state, the movable support plate 14 is biased by the coil spring 25 and is at its lower end position, as shown in FIG. The upper end of the die member 16 is recessed into the base 16, and the magnetic card 1 can freely pass over the upper surface 22 of the base 11. When both the solenoids 13a and 13b are energized with the magnetic card 1 placed on the upper surface 22 of the base 11, the movable support plate 14 resists the biasing j of the coil spring 25 and energizes the two magnetic cores 12a and 12.
b, and the upper end of the die member 16 protrudes so that the punch member 21 relatively enters the center hole 23 of the die member 16.

Here, as described above, the tip of the punch 26 has a pair of sharp parts 26a and 26b having different lengths in the axial direction, and the side surface has an irregular 7-shape, so the graph in FIG. As shown by solid line A, the force is extremely small compared to the force required to punch the magnetic card 1 (imaginary line B) using a symmetrical 7-shaped punch when viewed from the side (Fig. 5). Can be perforated with. Therefore, the solenoids 13a, 1
The suction force due to 3b can be reduced (imaginary line C - solid line D)
. Also, compared to the force required to punch the magnetic card 1 using a punch that has one sharp part and is inclined when viewed from the side (imaginary line E) as shown in FIG. Although a slightly large force is required when the sharp portion 26b shears the card 1, in reality, the gap, that is, the magnetic cores 12a, 12
This is not a problem because the suction force (solid line D) by the solenoids 13a and 13b increases as the distance between b and the movable support plate 14 becomes shorter. Furthermore, the end surface 26 of the punch 26
Since c is not a flat surface, the chips 7 reliably fall into the center hole 23 of the die member 16.

In this way, the magnetic card 1 is perforated, and the chips 7
is stored from the center hole 23 in a chip storage portion (not shown) located below the center hole 23. At this time, since the magnetic card 1 is held between the above-mentioned presser plate 24 and the upper end surface of the die member 16, the magnetic card 1 pushed up by the die part hoist 16 is not punched in an inclined state. It can be prevented.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, chips generated during punching do not stick to the tip end surface of the punch and do not interfere with the next punching operation. Moreover, since the force required for punching does not become large, the drive means for the punch member or the die member can be downsized. From the above, the effects of the present invention are on dogs.
