Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to bond two articles well by applying an adhesive to at least one adherend of two articles while temporarily fixing two articles with a self-adhesive tape that contracts in the direction of the thickness. CONSTITUTION:A method for bonding two articles with an adhesive, wherein an adhesive is applied to at least one adherend of two articles while temporarily fixing two articles with a self-adhesive tape that contracts in the direction of thickness. Examples of the adhesive include a vinyl acetate adhesive, a rubber-base adhesive, and an acrylic adhesive with are usually used. An example of the self-adhesive tape that contracts in the direction of thickness is a self-adhesive tape that contracts in the direction of thickness is a self-adhesive tape having at least one of the constituent base material and self-adhesive swelled with water or an organic solvent so that it will contract on evaporation of water or the organic solvent. By the above-mentioned technique, two articles can be bonded well.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, a method is known in which two articles are temporarily attached with an adhesive tape and then bonded with an adhesive. However, with this method, the volume of the adhesive decreases due to volatile components contained in the adhesive dissipating, while the adhesive tape maintains its thickness, reducing the effective bonding area of the adhesive. However, sometimes good results could not be obtained. In particular, when gluing wooden buildings, it is necessary to use thick adhesive tape due to the rough surface, and the effective bonding area of the adhesive used in the above method is extremely large. The current situation is that it is rarely put into practical use because it no longer serves its purpose.

Currently, instead of using adhesive tape, a method of temporary fixing with nails and gluing with adhesive is being used, but there is a problem that the appearance is not good because of the nail holes. Also, it cannot be used in areas where nails cannot be driven, and the glue must be supported with a holding bar until the adhesive hardens.

Therefore, the present inventors discovered that the above problem could be solved by shrinking the adhesive tape used for temporary fixing in accordance with the shrinkage of the adhesive, which led to the present invention.

That is, the present invention provides a method for bonding two articles with an adhesive, in which the two articles are temporarily attached using an adhesive tape that shrinks in the thickness direction, and an adhesive is applied to the adhesive surface of at least one of the two articles. It is characterized by being applied.

The adhesive used in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is commonly used, such as vinyl acetate adhesive,
Examples include epoxy adhesives, rubber adhesives, and acrylic adhesives.

Further, the adhesive tape used in the present invention shrinks in the thickness direction. An example of such an adhesive tape is an adhesive tape in which at least one of the base material or the adhesive constituting the tape is swollen with water or an organic solvent, and the adhesive tape evaporates when the water or organic solvent evaporates. It is something that contracts.

The shrinkage rate of the adhesive tape used in the present invention varies depending on the type of adhesive, the amount of volatile components in the adhesive, etc., but is usually 1.2 to 5 times, preferably 2 to 3 times. More preferably, the shrinkage rate is approximately the same as that of the adhesive. If the shrinkage rate is too large, the adhesive strength of the adhesive tape tends to decrease, and if it is too small, there is a risk that it will not be able to follow the shrinkage of the adhesive.

The above-mentioned adhesive tape is not particularly limited as long as both the base material and the adhesive are swollen in water or an organic solvent and expand in volume but do not dissolve. For example, commonly known acrylic or rubber adhesives often dissolve in water or organic solvents in an uncrosslinked state, so it is preferable to use them after crosslinking by adding a crosslinking agent. In the present invention, the crosslinking rate of the adhesive varies depending on the type of adhesive, etc., but a crosslinking rate of about 20 to 90% is used.

As the cross-linking rate of the adhesive increases, the degree of swelling and contraction decreases, and as the cross-linking rate decreases, the degree of swelling and contraction increases, and although it varies depending on the type of adhesive and solvent used, it will dissolve below a certain limit. There are many people who start. Suitable examples of such adhesives include rubber-based, acrylic-based, or silicone-based adhesives that are cross-linked by adding a cross-linking agent such as an isocyanate compound, peroxide, melamine compound, or epoxy compound, or by irradiating electron beams or ultraviolet rays. I can list some things that I did.

The base material of the adhesive tape used in the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it is insoluble in the water or organic solvent used, such as nonwoven fabric, plastic film,

Comparative Example Gypsum board and acrylic glass were bonded in the same manner as in Example 1, except that an adhesive tape with a thickness of 0.5 mm and a width of 20 mm made of an adhesive (not swollen) having the same composition as the adhesive in the example was used. Pasted.

The samples obtained in the Examples and Comparative Examples were fixed to a plaster board and held vertically at room temperature for one day to volatilize the moisture in the adhesive, and the adhesion state of the adhesive was observed.

The example has a volatile component (acetone) in the adhesive tape.
Because it contains adhesive tape, it shrinks in the thickness direction, so it adhered to almost the entire area where the adhesive was applied, whereas in the comparative example, the thickness of the adhesive tape did not change, so the adhesive tape was not applied. Only 10% of the area was bonded.
