Abstract

PURPOSE:To position precisely an elastic sealing material on a desired position of a sealing surface by sticking and molding integrally and firmly the same to the sealing surface, by a method wherein a mold surface, into which seal molding groove is engraved, is made into a similar form to a mold surface for molding of the sealing surface in one side of a mold at the time of molding of a plastic molded material main body. CONSTITUTION:A plastic molded material main body 4 which is provided with a structural part suitable for fixed use and a sealing surface 5 between the surface of the structural part and a mate product and an irregular surface part are formed respectively on the surface of the part of the structural part and a part of the sealing surface is molded by making use of either one side of a pair of molds 2a, 2b, which are replaceable with each other and provided on a molding machine. Then the one side and the other side of the molds are replaced with each other as the plastic molded material main body is held within the one side of the molds. An elastic sealing material 6 is molded on the irregular surface part with the one side mold provided with a mold surface abutting against a sealing surface of the plastic molded material main body at the replaced position and the seal molding groove engraved by corresponding to the irregular surface part on the inside of the mold surface.

Conventionally, for this type of composite article, the plastic molded body is molded in advance, and then an elastic sealing material is separately molded, and this elastic sealing material is punched into a desired shape, for example, a ring shape. , a method of pasting the ring-shaped elastic sealing material onto the sealing surface of the plastic molded body using an adhesive, or a method of applying a liquid gasket onto the sealing surface after molding the plastic molded body. However, in the former method, the elastic sealing material is punched out, which results in material loss in the central punched part, which is uneconomical, and the pasting process is labor intensive. This is troublesome, and the adhesion between the sealing surface of the plastic molded body and the elastic sealing material is insufficient. Especially when the sealing surface is not flat, the adhesion deteriorates significantly, and the latter also causes problems with the liquid gasket. Not only is the application process troublesome, but the coated surface lacks surface smoothness and leakage is likely to occur.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, according to the present invention, a molding machine equipped with a pair of mutually replaceable molds is used, and either one of the molds is used to form a sealing surface partially having an irregular surface portion. This plastic molding body is then held in one side of the mold, and this one side and the other side of the mold are replaced with each other, and in this replaced position, the molded body is molded. It is characterized in that an elastic sealing material is molded on the irregular surface portion of the sealing surface of the plastic molded body.

Next, the upper side 2a'' of the mold 2a is removed to open the mold, and the rotary plate 3 is quickly rotated 180 degrees to open the lower side 2a' while holding the plastic molded product main body 4 inside the lower side 2a'. and the lower side 2b' of the other mold 2b are replaced with each other, that is, the lower side 2b' in FIG.
Place the lower side 2b' at the position a' and the lower side 28' at the position of the lower side 2b', and form a seal molding groove for molding the elastic sealing material in the lower side 2a' at this replaced position. The upper side 2b'' held on the mold surface is brought together and the mold is clamped again, and a synthetic resin sealing material such as silicone resin or polyurethane resin is injected from the injection device 1b onto the sealing surface 5 to form an elastic sealing material 6 on the sealing surface 5. For example, a composite article consisting of a plastic molded body 4 and an elastic sealing material 6 as shown in FIG. The lower side 2b' and the upper side 2a'' are then clamped together and the same molding operation as described above is repeated.
