In a so-called writing instrument with a stamp, which is equipped with a writing body at the front end of the shaft and a stamp attached to the rear end, the stamp 5 is stored in the rear end of the shaft, and a lid 8 is used to cover the opening 21 at all times. A spring 11 is applied between the cap 4 and the lid part 8 so that the cap 4 and the lid part 8 are rotatably attached to the base 10 at the rear end of the cap 4, and the cap 4 is fitted onto the outer periphery of the rear part of the shaft so as to be axially movable.
