Abstract

PURPOSE:To get a room temperature suitable for a person present in a room by a method wherein an air conditioner is controlled in response to a room temperature and a body surface temperature of the person present in the room. CONSTITUTION:In a room temperature control system, a room temperature sensed by a room temperature sensor 3, a human body surface temperature sensed by an infra-red ray temperature sensor 4 and an outdoor air temperature sensed by an outdoor air temperature sensor 5 are fed to a control device 2. The control device 2 may control an air conditioner 1 in response to the room temperature, the body surface temperature and a temperature difference between the indoor air temperature and the outdoor air temperature in such a way as the room air temperature becomes a set comfortable temperature. Since the indoor air temperature is controlled in response to the indoor air temperature and the human body surface temperature, the indoor air temperature is not merely controlled in response to a room temperature as found in the prior art, but the room temperature can be controlled to show the most comfortable state for the person present in the room, resulting in that a control over the room temperature can be performed more effectively.

Indoor temperature control is one type of indoor air conditioning. Conventional indoor temperature control involves detecting the indoor temperature using a temperature sensor installed at an appropriate location, such as a wall, and controlling the air conditioner installed in the building based on the output signal from the temperature sensor. This is done by

[Problem to be Solved by the Invention] Incidentally, a temperature sensor that detects room temperature is often installed in a place that does not get in the way. It will now detect temperature. For this reason, the temperature of the room where the person is actually present is not directly detected, and the air conditioner is not controlled based on the temperature of the place where the person is. Therefore, room temperature is not necessarily optimally controlled.

On the other hand, there are individual differences in the temperature felt by people indoors.
Therefore, unlike conventional methods, the room temperature is uniformly controlled based only on the temperature near where the temperature sensor is installed! (ix) It is not possible to obtain a comfortable room temperature for the people in the room.

[Example] Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be described using the drawings. FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a room temperature control system that is an embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, 1 is the air conditioner a2 is the control unit III (CPU) of this air conditioner, 3 is the room temperature sensor that detects the indoor temperature, 4 is the infrared temperature sensor that detects the body surface temperature of the person in the room, 5 is an outside temperature sensor that detects outside air temperature. In FIG. 1, an air conditioner 1 is connected to a room by a duct 6 that opens at one end in the ceiling. Also,
The air conditioner 1 is connected by a duct 7 having one end open to the ceiling, and is also connected by a duct 8 to an indoor unit 9 installed on the indoor floor. Therefore, the air conditioner 1 sucks indoor air through the duct 6, cleans the air, adjusts the temperature, and blows it out from the ceiling and the indoor unit 9 into the room through the duct 7.8.
