Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to save cylinder oil and improve its lubricating performance and reliability by continuously installing a drain oil regeneration circuit equipped with a settling tank and a filter between a drain catcher and the oiling hole of a cylinder liner. CONSTITUTION:The drain oil collected in a drain catcher 5 is introduced in a settling tank 7 through a piping 6 by means of a booster pump 9. A mixture in drain oil is precipitated and removed by means of a settling tank 7, and the drain oil is discharged through a valved discharge pie 7a and then sucked up to a filter 10 through a piping 8. The drain oil is cleaned there, and the regenerated cylinder oil to which an appropriate amount of an additive is mixed passes a check valve 11; and at a cylinder tank 12, it is mixed in a fresh oil supplied through a piping 21 from a head tank 20.
