Claims (1)
- 基板上に、下部磁性コアと上部磁性コアとの間
に作動ギヤツプを有するヘツド素子を形成し、該
ヘツド素子上に保護板をガラス層を介してガラス
融着した薄膜磁気ヘツドにおいて、前記保護板の
前記作動ギヤツプと対向する部分に凸部を設け、
前記ガラス層のうち媒体摺接面での前記作動ギヤ
ツプの上方に位置するガラス層を前記凸部の両側
に位置するガラス層よりも薄くしたことを特徴と
する薄膜磁気ヘツド。
