Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten working time and to make cleaning at a low temp. effective by sealing an arom. solvent having >=40 deg.C flash point in the space between pigs inserted into a pipe and travelling the pigs to move the solvent in the pipe and to clean the inside of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:An arom. solvent having >=40 deg.C flash point is sealed in the space between pigs inserted into a pipe and the pigs are travelled to move the solvent in the pipe and to clean the inside of the pipe. The arom. solvent used is a liq. based on monocyclic or bicyclic liq. arom. hydrocarbon and effectively dissolves deposits to be removed such as sludge and wax but does not dissolve or swell the pigs made of synthetic resin and the sliding parts made of synthetic rubber. The arom. solvent is safe because of the low volatility and high flash point.

[Prior Art 1] When a pig is used to clean the inside of a pipe for transporting crude oil, heavy oil, etc., one or more pigs are used to remove deposits such as sludge and wax. However, if it is difficult to remove the deposits with just a pig, water, kerosene, or the like is sealed between the pigs to dissolve the deposits and clean them.

The present invention was made in response to the above-mentioned conventional demands, and its purpose is to provide a system that is sufficient to measure the corrosion state of the surface of the pipes and to change the oil flow. To provide a method for cleaning the inside of a pipe, which can remove deposits as quickly as possible, shorten the opening time during work, and effectively clean the inside of a pipe even in a low-temperature environment.

[Means for Solving the Problems 1] The method for cleaning the inside of a pipe according to the present invention involves inserting a plurality of pigs into the pipe, sealing an aromatic solvent with a flash point of 40°C or higher between the pigs, and cleaning the inside of the pipe. It is characterized by moving and cleaning inside the pipes as it travels.
