Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a positive hot melting condition of a temperature fuse to be carried out even in case of terminating air blowing operation by a method wherein a heater unit is pushed against a heater case through a temperature fuse with a resilient member. CONSTITUTION:Thermal radiation fins 6 having aluminum plate corrugated at both surfaces of a plate-like positive characteristic thermistor element 5 are connected to each other and two stages of the radiation fins are piled up to form a heater unit 1. The radiation fins 6 may also act as electrodes, connector terminals are extended from the radiation fins 6 and application of voltage causes the positive characteristic thermistor element 5 to start heating. Air is blown against the heater unit 1 to pass through between the radiation fins 6 to get hot air. Microtemperature type fuse 4 passed through an insulation tube 11 is fitted in a rectangular hole 9 and it is pushed and held against the heater unit 1 from above with a leaf spring 3.

In other words, corrugated aluminum heat dissipation fins are bonded to both sides of a plate-shaped positive temperature coefficient thermistor element, and the heater unit 1, which is made of an aluminum plate on the outside, is housed in a heater case 2 that also serves as a part of the wind tunnel. However, the heater case l-
1 thermally expands when electricity is generated to generate heat, the inner dimensions of the heater unit housing and holding portion of the heater case 2 are made larger than the outer dimensions of the heater unit 1 in consideration of the thermal expansion. In order to prevent the heater unit 1 from wobbling when no heat is generated, an arc-shaped leaf spring 3 is inserted into the gap. Further, microtemp type temperature fuses 4 are installed at regular intervals on the hot air blowing side of the heater unit 1, and are fused when the temperature of the hot air rises too much.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, with the above configuration, if m-air is being output and the temperature of the hot air rises abnormally, the temperature fuse 4 will melt, but if, for example, the blower fails, the air will no longer be sent. There was a problem in that the temperature fuse 4 could not be blown out at certain times.

In other words, since the structure is such that the heat of the heater unit 1 is transferred to the temperature fuse 4 by air blowing, when the air blowing is stopped, the only heat transfer from the heater unit 1 to the temperature fuse 4 is radiation, and the temperature of the temperature fuse 4 is This made it difficult for the company to rise.

Embodiment Hereinafter, an electric hot air fan showing an embodiment of the present invention will be described based on the accompanying drawings. Fig. 3 shows a corrugated type hot air heater, in which a heater unit 1 is constructed by stacking two layers of aluminum plates on both sides of a plate-shaped positive temperature coefficient thermistor element 5, and heat dissipation fins 6 formed in a corrugate shape. is formed. The heat radiation fin 6 also serves as an electrode, and a connection terminal 7 extends from the heat radiation fin 6. As shown in FIG. 3, when a voltage is applied, the positive temperature coefficient thermistor element 5 starts to generate heat. Then, as shown in FIG. 2, hot air is obtained by applying air to the heater unit l and passing it between the heat radiation fins 6.

In FIGS. 1 and 2, reference numeral 2 denotes a rectangular cylindrical heater case that also serves as a wind tunnel. The heater unit 1 is inserted from the side of the heater case 2, and the connection terminal 7 is extended from a hole provided in the lid 8. ing. In addition, a square hole 9 is formed in the upper surface of the heater case 2 to match the upper surface of the heater unit l, and a leaf spring holding frame 10 is further provided. Insert 4,
It is pressed and held against the heater unit 1 by a leaf spring 3 from above. Further, the stamped dimensions of the heater unit housing and holding frame of the heater case 2 are set to be larger than the dimensions of the heater unit 1 when it expands due to heat generation.

First, when the heater unit 1 is not energized, there is a gap between the heater case and the temporary spring 3 through the temperature fuse 4.
Because it is held down by the heater unit 1, no rattling occurs. Next, when the heater unit 1 is energized and generates heat, the heater unit 1 thermally expands and pushes out the temperature fuse 4, causing the leaf spring 3 to further bend, resulting in tighter contact between the temperature fuse 4 and the heater case 1. will improve. This stabilizes the temperature due to heat conduction to the temperature fuse 4 during normal use and during abnormal conditions, and improves the reliability of the temperature fuse operation.

Further, since the temperature fuse 4 is located above the heater unit l, if the air blowing is stopped for some reason, the temperature fuse 4 is quickly blown out by the heat generated by the heater unit 1, thereby preventing the occurrence of an abnormal situation.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the description of the embodiments above, the electric hot air machine of the present invention has a heater unit pressed against the heater case using an elastic material via a temperature fuse, and therefore In addition to the heater unit not rattling, the temperature reached by the fuse during normal use and during abnormal conditions is stabilized, which reduces the possibility of fuse blowing by mistake during normal use, and also during abnormal conditions (especially when the air blower is stopped). The reliability of fuse blowing can be improved.
