Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the construction and to easily confirm a reading position by providing a photoelectric converting element to generate an electric signal in accordance with the reflecting light from a picture on an original and a means to divide a part of the reflecting light and guide it to an observation window provided on the surface of a case. CONSTITUTION:A half mirror 8 to divide the light quantity is provided on the way of the light path of the reflecting light from the picture of an original 1 in a device case 2 and further, a reflecting mirror 10 to guide the divided light to an observation window 9 provided on the surface of the device case 2 is provided. The device case 2 is mounted on the original 1 to be read, while the observation window 9 is watched, the device case 2 is moved so that a straight line-shaped part L1 on the original 1 can be positioned at the reading position mark 11 in the observation window. After the position movement completion, reading is started, and while the observation window 9 is confirmed, the reading is executed by moving the device case 2 in the prescribed direction. Thus, the original can be easily and correctly read.

Problem to be Solved by the Invention However, with the above configuration, when the device housing is positioned on the document, the nine reading parts are covered by the device housing, so it is difficult to know which position on the document is actually being read. If the position is not the desired position, it is necessary to read it once and then display it on a display such as a disfluray ray to confirm the position, and if the position is not the desired position, the same operation must be performed again.

Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, the reading range can be confirmed because the reading portion can be visually observed through the observation window provided on the surface of the device housing, and the angle of the reflecting mirror can be adjusted. For example, the angle of the reflecting mirror can be adjusted according to the viewing angle of the user, so that the reading position can always be confirmed in an optimal state. As a result, it becomes possible to read the original easily and accurately.
