Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily form the embossed hologram sheet of a smaller thickness by providing a light transparent resin layer on a transparent base body layer and subjecting the surface of this layer to embossing for hologram formation in prescribed patterns, then masking the surface exclusive of the embossed surface with an opaque paint and providing a vapor deposited metal layer from this part to the embossed surface. CONSTITUTION:The embossed hologram surface (a) of a desired shape is formed on the surface of the transparent base body layer 2 consisting of a sheet-like film (b) of polyester, polypropylene, polyethylene, etc., to form the embossed hologram sheet 1. Namely, the vapor deposited layer 3 consisting of, for exam ple, a nitrocellulopse resin and urethane resin is provided continuously on the transparent base body layer 2 having 12 to 50mum thickness and this base body is sent to a roller provided with embossing patterns of the prescribed patterns on a cylinder surface so that the embossed surface 3a and the non-embossed surface 3b are formed atop the layer 3. The surface 3b is thereafter coated thereupon with the opaque paint 4 and the vapor deposited metal layer 5 is deposited on the surface from the surface 3a to the top of the paint 4.

However, the sticker type described above has poor work efficiency even if it is done manually or using a labeling machine, and it also bulges out from the base due to the thickness of the label, causing problems such as peeling off. Sometimes. If the outline of the embossed hologram forming area, that is, the shape of the label becomes complicated, it becomes difficult to create the label itself.

On the other hand, with the transfer foil type, a foil stamping transfer machine is used to apply heat and pressure to transfer it to the substrate, but the heat and pressure may cause the embossed shape to collapse, and the embossed hologram is The material used to form the embossed hologram must also meet the requirements for being a transfer material, and there have been major restrictions on the embossed hologram forming material, transfer conditions, etc., including the conditions on the substrate side. Also, the speed of foil stamping was slow, and in this case too, the work efficiency was poor.

The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and includes providing a transparent resin layer on a transparent base layer, performing hologram formation embossing on the upper surface of the transparent resin layer in a predetermined pattern,
The above-mentioned problems are solved by providing a method for producing an embossed hologram sheet, which is characterized by printing an opaque paint on the outside of the embossed surface and providing a metal vapor deposition layer formed by performing metal vapor deposition on at least the embossed surface. It is something.

In the present invention, a transparent resin layer is provided on a transparent base layer, this transparent resin layer is embossed in a predetermined pattern, and then an opaque paint is printed on areas other than the embossed surface to perform metal vapor deposition. By applying this, the embossed surface of the translucent resin layer becomes a hologram forming part, and a sheet having an embossed hologram with a predetermined pattern can be obtained.

Next, a translucent resin is applied to the entire surface of the transparent base layer 2, which is the sent-out film b, to continuously provide a translucent resin layer 3. This translucent resin layer 3 is obtained, for example, by applying a mixed solution of nitrocellulose resin and urethane resin onto the transparent base layer and drying it (solid content: 1.5 g/-?).
Figure 3). This translucent resin layer 3 can be molded by being colored with a pigment (organic paint) as long as it does not have light-hidden properties, and the resulting hologram will have a richly colored brilliance.

This metal thin W layer is obtained, for example, by aluminum vapor deposition to a film thickness of about 500 Å. By this metal vapor deposition, a metal vapor deposited layer 4 is located on the embossed surface 3a, and a hologram is formed in this portion, and an embossed hologram sheet 1 having a predetermined pattern of holograms is continuously obtained.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a translucent resin layer is provided on a transparent base layer, a hologram formation embossing is performed on the upper part of the translucent resin layer in a predetermined pattern, and an opaque portion is formed outside the embossed surface. Since a metal vapor deposition layer is provided by printing a paint and performing metal vapor deposition on at least the embossed surface, the embossed hologram sheet can be easily made thinner, and holograms can be efficiently and continuously formed.
Since the pattern is obtained by printing, it is possible to easily obtain holograms with complex patterns, and this has excellent effects in practical applications.
