Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable stable recording without any flexture of the tip of an electrode head by recording while grinding a part of one and the other of electrode needles and first and second supports, at the tip of the electrode head. CONSTITUTION:The tip 3 of an electrode head comprises a first support 2a provided thereon with a plurality of electrode needles 1 and a second support 2b clamping the electrode needles 1. The tip 3 of the head is mounted to be horizontal, relative to a platen roller 4 of an electric discharge printer, and a recording material 5 is disposed between the platen roller 4 and the tip 3. The recording material 5 is fed in the direction of an arrow while being pressed against the tip 3 of the head by the platen roller 4 so that a part of the electrode needles 1, the support 2b and the support 2a is ground by the recording material 5 while recording is conducted. Since recording is conducted while leaving a part of the support 2a, reinforcement of the back side of the support 2a of the tip 3 of the head and mounting thereof on the electric discharge printer can be carried out at the tip the load of the platen roller 4 or by the tension of the recording material 5.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, office automation has required a variety of terminals. Among these, there is a great demand for recording devices that convert electrical signals into visible images, so-called printers, and recording devices have been manufactured using various methods. The present invention relates to a discharge breakdown recording method. A voltage-applied electrode needle is brought into contact with the metal thin film layer of discharge destruction paper, which consists of a metal thin film layer, a black layer, and a base paper, and the contact area is heated or discharge destruction is performed to remove the metal thin film layer and expose the black layer to record. It is something to do. Conventionally, resin has often been used as a support for fixing electrode needles in electrode heads, but when resin is used, thick and hard electrode needles are used to prevent short circuits between the electrode needles due to adhesion of dust generated during recording. The high-density electrode head needed to be exposed from the support, which was difficult.

Therefore, in order to perform high-density recording, an electrode head (for example, Japanese Patent Application No. 178537-1983) was proposed that used an orthogonal boron nitride sintered body as a support for the electrode needle, and it was possible to obtain high-resolution printing quality. Became. Furthermore, as a means for forming electrode needles, a method for manufacturing an electrode head (Japanese Patent Application No. 1983-74605) has been proposed in which copper foil is etched on both main surfaces or one of both main surfaces of an macrogonal boron nitride sintered body. Proposed. Hereinafter, a conventional recording method using the above-mentioned electric wire will be explained with reference to the drawings.

In FIG. 2, the electrode needles l are formed by etching electrolytic copper in a stripe shape on one of the amphibatic surfaces of a first support 2a made of hexagonal boron nitride sintered body, and are arranged at a density of 8 needles/mm. The electrode needle I is held between a second support body 2b made of a hexagonal boron nitride sintered body.

The tip 3 of the electrode head is attached at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the platen roller 4 of the discharge printer, and a recording medium 5 is located between the tip 3 of the electrode head and the platen roller 4. The recording medium 5 moves in the direction of the arrow while being pressed against the tip of the electrode head 3 by the platen roller 4. Recording is performed by discharging from the tip of the electrode needle 1 into a metal thin film layer (not shown) on the recording medium 5 to make a hole. During recording, the electrode needles 1 gradually wear out due to discharge, so while scraping the supports 2a and 2b with the recording material 5 in accordance with the wear rate of the electrode needles 1, the electrode needles 1 are always slightly lower than the supports 2a and 2b. By protruding it, stable recording can be performed. However, in the method described above, in which the electrode head tip 3 is attached at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the discharge printer, and the supports 2a, 2b and the electrode needle 1 are scraped with the recording body 5, recording is performed, the load on the platen roller 4 and the recording Support body 2a due to body tension
, 2b is deflected. In particular, since this electrode head records while cutting the electrode needle 1 and the supports 2a, 2b, the head life is determined by the length of the electrode needle. In other words, the longer the lifespan, the longer the electrode needle 1 and the support that supports the electrode needle 1 become. Contact with the body 5 becomes poor and stable recording becomes impossible.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention As mentioned above, the tip of the electrode head is attached with the tip inclined to the platen roller of the discharge printer, and the recording body between the platen roller and the tip of the electrode head is attached to the electrode needle at the tip of the electrode head. In the method of recording while scraping a sheet of support,
There is a problem in that the tip of the electrode head bends due to the load of the platen roller during recording and the tension of the recording medium, making contact with the recording medium unstable and making continuous stable recording impossible.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention solves the above problems and records the electrode by scraping the electrode needle at the tip of the electrode head and a portion of one and the other of the first and second supports with a recording medium. To provide a recording method that allows stable recording without deflection of the head tip.

FIG. 1 is a sectional view showing a recording state according to the present invention. The electrode head tip 3 is attached horizontally to a platen roller of an electric discharge printer, and a recording medium 5 is located between the platen roller 4 and the electrode head tip 3. The recording medium 5 moves in the direction of the arrow while being pressed against the TL pole head tip 3 by the platen roller 4, and the recording medium 5 records while scraping part of the electrode needle 1, the support 2b, and the support 2a. In the serious recording method, since recording is performed with a part of the support 2a remaining, reinforcement and discharge of the electrode head tip 3 to the back surface of the support 2a are performed.
Since the electrode head can be attached to the printer at the tip 3 of the electrode head, deflection due to the load of the platen roller 4 or the tension of the recording medium 5 can be eliminated.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above explanation, the present invention has a recording body that runs between the tip of the electrode head and the platen roller of the recording device, and the electrode needle at the tip of the electrode head and the first and second supports. By recording without cutting part of one and the other, it is possible to reinforce the tip of the electrode head and attach the tip of the electrode head to the recording device, eliminating deflection due to platen roller load and tension of the recording medium, making it stable. Not only can recording be performed continuously, but also the life of the electrode head can be extended.
