BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION A polymethyl methacrylate plastic consisting of two parallel outer walls separated by a series of vertical partition plates parallel to each other so as to define a series of adjacent cells (voids) having a rectangular cross-sectional shape. Transparent double-walled plates made of transparent plastics, such as, are already commercially available. however,
This kind of double-walled plate, which has cells defined by a series of partition plates perpendicular to two opposing parallel walls, Any barrier between the opposing walls is less effective in thermally isolating the opposing walls from each other.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the invention to provide a cellular double-walled plate whose opposing walls are thermally isolated from each other by means of cells of special configuration. According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain a double-walled plate that exhibits a high heat insulating effect without reducing its light energy transmission coefficient when constructed of transparent walls.

Means for Solving the Problems To achieve the above objects, the present invention provides a cellular double-walled plate made of a transparent or opaque thermoplastic material, comprising two parallel and spaced apart plates. It consists of a wall and at least one continuous dividing plate with a broken line cross section interposed between the two walls, and the separating dividing plate thermally connects the opposing walls by a series of inclined surfaces. configured to define a series of spaced apart adjacent cells of generally triangular cross section, each sloping surface being a curved surface having a concave surface facing one of the walls, the radius of curvature of the curved surface being To provide a cellular double-walled plate characterized in that the thickness is 1 to 2 times the total thickness of the double-walled plate. The cellular double-walled plate can be formed by conventional extrusion.

Function The separating plate of the present invention has a broken line shape, each inclined surface of the separating plate is a curved surface having a concave surface facing one side of the parallel wall, and the radius of curvature of the curved surface is defined as the radius of curvature of the double wall plate. By making the thickness 1 to 2 times the total thickness of the double wall plate, the double wall plate has a good insulation effect.
Gives high mechanical strength.

EXAMPLE To be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, the cellular double-walled plate (hollow double-walled plate with multiple divided cavities) of the present invention comprises two walls arranged parallel to each other and spaced apart. 1 and 2, and a continuous separating plate 3 having a zigzag cross section and interposed between these walls. Separation dividing plate (hereinafter referred to as

Between each curved or inclined surface 4 of the dividing plate 3 and the opposing walls 1 and 2 there is a series of adjacent cells 5,
6, 7, 8... are formed. These adjacent cells are defined by each section of the wall 1 defined by the dividing plate 3 (the section between the contact points of the wall 1 and the dividing plate 3).
serves to thermally isolate the wall 2 from the corresponding section of the wall 2 located below. For example, as shown in FIG. Since they are separated from each other, the opposing wall sections 1a and 2a are thermally isolated.

The continuous dividing wall 3 which thermally isolates the opposing walls 1 and 2 from each other makes the resulting double-walled plate particularly suitable for use in greenhouses and the like. For example, the lower cells (i.e. cells 5, 6,
7, etc.), substantially only the lower wall 2 is heated and the upper wall 1 is heated.
can be kept thermally isolated by cells 8, 9, . . . that do not circulate high-temperature fluid.

In addition to the thermal insulation effect of thermally isolating the two opposing walls 1 and 2, the continuous dividing plate 3 with a curved surface has a flat surface (parallel to the walls 1 and 2) of this cellular double-walled plate. It also plays the role of a reinforcing material that provides structural rigidity and physical resistance (mechanical strength) in two directions: parallel to the plane) and perpendicular to the plane.
