Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a planer speaker provided with a thin and large sized screen function in which a speaker and a screen are unified by fitting a sounding body driving a diaphragm acoustically to the diaphragm made of a foamed resin and adhering a screen member to one side of the diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:The speaker is provided with a rectangular diaphragm 1 whose lateral dimension is longer than its longitudinal dimension, plural piezoelectric sounding bodies 2... buried (or adhered) to rear side of the diaphragm 1 and the screen member 3 adhered to the front side of the diaphragm 1. The diaphragm 1 is formed by butting two foamed resin plates made of foamed styrol or foamed polyethylene and adhering them in abutting state and the piezoelectric sounding bodies 2 are clipped between the foamed resin plates.
