本発明は繊維で強化した金属からなる円筒体の製造方法

従来、繊維で強化した素材としては繊維強化プラスチッ
クがある。この繊維強化プラスチックは高強度、多用途
、低コスト等の利点がある反面、低加工性、再使用不可

の技術を応用すれば新しい素材を開発することができる

(発明が解決しようとする課題)
このため本発明は、上記の技術を応用して従来の繊維強
化プラスチックが有していた欠点を解消する新しい素材
としての繊維強化金属の製造方法を提供するものであり
、上記の技術の性格上、円筒体が最も製造し易い形状で
あることから繊維強化金属製円筒体の製造方法を提供す

体の製造方法は、溶融金属を噴霧した後急冷することに
より半溶融、半凝固の状態にした金属粒子を円筒状に堆
積させ円筒体を形成する工程、前記円筒体表面に繊維を
軸方向に並べて巻きつける工程、および繊維を巻きつけ
た円筒体の表面に前記溶融金属粒子の噴霧による堆積を
続け所望の厚みを有する円筒体を形成する工程からなる
