Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] A wire dot impact type printing head that prints by having a printing wire protrude from the tip and hitting a medium wrapped around a platen facing each other via an ink ribbon. An endless ink ribbon, which is removably attached to the mounted carriage and is made by applying dry ink to the surface of a resin ribbon base material, is stored in the ribbon storage section, and a part of this ink ribbon is stored in the ribbon storage section. The ribbon is pulled out from one of a pair of ribbon guides protruding forward from both ends of the front part of the cartridge to expose it to the outside of the case, and then set in the cartridge case so that it is pulled in from the other ribbon guide and returned to the ribbon storage part. When the ink ribbon cartridge is installed in the carriage, the ink ribbon is drawn out between the ribbon guide parts and is placed below the ink ribbon so that the ink ribbon comes into contact with the tip of the print head and rubs against it, thereby adhering to the ink ribbon. An ink ribbon cartridge characterized in that a thin section made of polyester film or the like is provided, and a lubricant is applied to the inside of this thin section.
