[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a head for wire dot printers. The purpose of this invention is to prevent the wire from breaking even if the ink completely dries and solidifies, and to prevent the wire from breaking when the wire slides. The purpose is to reduce the frictional resistance, enable high-speed printing, and reduce the power consumption of the plunger to downsize the power supply.

Conventional wire dot printer heads are
As shown in FIG. 2, the through hole 1 of the wire holding part 1
A plurality of wires 2 are slidably inserted in a straight line through the wires 2, and an ink storage body storage recess 1b is formed on both sides of the wires 2.
The ink storage body 3 was stored in the ink storage body storage recess 1b, and its outer surface was always in contact with the wire 2. Therefore, if the wire dries and solidifies, the wire 2 will stick to the surface of the ink absorber 3, and if you try to slide the wire in this state, the wire may break, and the wire 2 may come into contact with the ink absorber 3. The plunger 6 that slides has a large frictional resistance and requires a large driving force to drive the wire.
If the wire overheats and the wire is driven at high speed, the wire sliding surface of the ink storage body will wear rapidly, and part of the ink storage body will adhere to the printing paper 5 as dust when the wire slides, making high-speed printing impossible. There was a drawback that ink could not be attached to the wire 2.

The present invention eliminates the drawbacks of the prior art by providing a partition plate between the wire and the ink absorber having a large number of small holes or slits through which ink can pass.

FIG. 3 shows a first embodiment of the present invention, in which a plurality of wires 12 are slidably inserted in a straight line through a through hole 11a of a wire holding portion 11, and ink storage body storage recesses 11b are formed on both sides of the wires 12. A partition plate 11c is integrally formed between the ink absorber storage recess 11b, and a large number of small holes or slits through which ink can pass are formed in the partition plate 11c, so that ink does not enter the ink absorber storage recess 11b. It houses the storage body 13.

FIG. 4 shows a second embodiment of the present invention, and shows a partition plate 11 corresponding to the partition plate 11c in the first embodiment.
c' is formed separately and is fixed or detachably attached to the wire holding part 11 by adhesion, welding, fitting, etc.

Next, the effect will be explained. When the wire 12 is slid backward by the plunger, the wire 12
slides on the partition plates 11c, 11c' with a very small gap, and the ink in the ink storage body 13 penetrates into the wire 12 side from between the partition plates 11c, 11c', and the ink is applied to the wire 12. The dots adhere to the dots and move to the tip of the wire 12 as the wire 12 slides back and forth, and when the wire 12 moves forward, dot characters are printed on the printing paper 5 on the platen 4. Partition plates 11c, 11
Since the gap between c' and the wire 12 is extremely small, the ink that permeates through the many small holes or slits in the partition plates 11c and 11c' remains wet due to surface tension, and the ink is constantly removed from the ink tank 7. Since the ink is replenished, the ink never runs out.

According to the present invention, the wire does not come into direct sliding contact with the ink storage body, but instead slides on the partition plate with a very small gap, so even if the ink dries and solidifies, the wire will not break. Furthermore, the frictional resistance during sliding is extremely small, allowing high-speed printing, and the power consumption of the plunger is also low, so the power supply can be made smaller.
