Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove dust without scratching a recording medium and to remove the dust stuck to a head part by jetting out the gas to a head and a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:By an optical head 5 mounted on a carriage 4 to be moved in the radius direction of a medium 3 for a recording medium 3 to be rotated, data are recorded and reproduced. At an optical disk device, a fan motor 6 is provided and an external air is fetched into the internal part of the device by a motor 6. The air fetched by the motor 6 is cleaned by an air filter 7 and jetted out from an air nozzle 8 in the vicinity of the head 5.
