Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve a wettability by ink on a nozzle end face, obtain a constant ink flight direction, and enhance a printing quality by a method wherein a specific treatment of every type is applied on the nozzle end face in a high- molecular resin head to activate the surface of the high-molecular resin. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle end of a nozzle 3 made of a high-molecular resin is a part to be treated 6. The shaded part 6 is treated with sulfuric acid, ultraviolet rays, plasma, corona discharge, electron beam, or flame. The resin surface of the treated part 6 is more activated than an untreated surface and generates polar groups. As a result, the nozzle end face is uniformly wet by ink, and an ink flying direction is made constant. Therefore, a favorable printing quality can be obtained.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the above-mentioned conventional technology, due to the inherent physical properties of the polymer resin, the contact angle of the ink with the polymer resin surface is larger than that with glass or metal, so that the ink droplets are When flying 7, some of the ink is
As shown by 8 in the figure, the ink droplets bulge on the end face of the nozzle, and as a result of this, the ejected ink droplets do not have a fixed flying direction, which causes a problem in that printing quality is impaired.

Example 1 The shaded area 6 in FIG. 1(b) indicates that sulfuric acid treatment, ultraviolet ray treatment, plasma treatment, corona discharge treatment, electron beam treatment, or fire treatment was performed. Compared to the untreated surface, the resin surface of No. 6 is activated and generates polar groups. As a result, the ink wets the nozzle end face uniformly, and the ink flight direction is kept constant as shown in Figure 2. I have to.

Example 3 The shaded area 6 in FIG. 1(b) indicates that barrel treatment is performed with iron powder. Since the resin surface of No. 6 is processed to have a satin finish, it acts to promote ink wetting. As a result, the ink uniformly wets the nozzle end face, and the ink flying direction is kept constant as shown in FIG.

As explained above, any inkjet head of the present invention can greatly improve the wetting characteristics of the ink nozzle end face. As a result, no ink accumulates on the nozzle end face when the ink is ejected, and by creating a uniformly wet state on the nozzle end face, the ink ejecting direction is kept constant and an inkjet head with good print quality is realized.
