Conventionally, when etching the required surface of a metal molded product by chemical means, the entire unnecessary surface was coated with an anti-corrosion layer to prevent the etching solution from contacting and etching other surfaces. Protecting. For this reason, large amounts of anticorrosive material are required for large metal molded products, and when there are many metal molded products, it is not only troublesome to apply a corrosion protection layer to each piece, but also requires etching. It is also extremely troublesome to remove the anti-corrosion layer after finishing.

The present invention was invented with the aim of solving these conventional problems and etching only the required surfaces without protecting unnecessary surfaces with an anti-corrosion layer, and has achieved this purpose. In order to do this, a plurality of rolls whose surfaces are covered with a water-containing material at least are arranged in parallel on one plane, and metal forming is performed on the rolls with the water-containing material impregnated with the etching solution. The method is characterized in that the metal molded product is placed on a roll with the desired surface facing the roll, and the metal molded product is moved and the roll is rotated to bring the desired surface into contact with an etching solution to effect etching.

Figures 1 and 2 show an example of a device for implementing the present invention, in which a plurality of pairs of bearings 2 with U-shaped end faces are provided at appropriate intervals near the upper edge of a liquid tank 1 that is rectangular in plan and has an appropriate depth. , polyethylene, polyurethane, leaving both ends on the surface of the shaft 3 made of hard polyvinyl chloride.
The shaft 3 of a roll 5, which is formed by coating a water-containing material 4 made of a synthetic resin sponge such as polyvinyl chloride to an appropriate thickness, is fitted into the bearing 2 so that it can rotate freely, and a plurality of rolls 5, for example, five rolls 5, are They are arranged in parallel on a horizontal plane and with their upper parts protruding upward from the upper edge of the liquid tank 1.

FIG. 3 shows an example of a metal molded product suitable for etching according to the present invention, in which a membrane barrier layer C is formed on one surface B of a long hollow metal molded product A with a rectangular cross section. It is provided. Anti-corrosion layer C is made by stacking a photosensitive film (positive film) and an original plate with a predetermined pattern (original) on the metal surface and baking it.The positive film is removed in the area that will become a positive image and the metal is coated. Either by exposing the surface and shielding the metal surface with a Ponzi film in other parts, or by applying or spraying acid-resistant paint used to prevent corrosion of metals. Formed by attaching.

The etching liquid 6 is poured into the liquid bath 1 until a part of the roll 5 is immersed, and when the water-containing material 4 is sufficiently impregnated, the surface B of the metal molded product A that is patterned by the anticorrosion film C is formed. The metal molded product A is placed on a roll 5 at one end facing downward, and is moved on the roll 5 toward the other end. The entire surface B is contacted evenly and uniformly and repeatedly as many times as the number of rolls 5. The exposed metal part of the surface B is gradually etched by the etching solution 6, so when it passes over the roll 5, it must be left for a required period of time or it can be repeatedly removed.
Etching progresses to the desired depth by moving the top surface, then completely removes the attached etching solution by washing with water, etc., and then removes the anti-corrosion layer C and performs other necessary anti-corrosion methods such as coloring and plating. The product is then subjected to various post-processing processes.

In the case of aluminum products, since the reaction is exothermic, etching is preferably carried out using an apparatus in which liquid tanks 1 and water tanks 7 are alternately arranged as shown in FIG.
A roll 8 similar to the roll 5 of the liquid tank 1 is rotatably provided in the water tank 7 and is impregnated with water 9. The metal molded product A is etched by the etching liquid 6 in the liquid tank 1, cooled by the water 9 in the water tank 7, and removed from the etching liquid by repeating etching while suppressing heat generation.

In addition, two or more metal molded products can be lined up and simultaneously etched using the above-mentioned apparatus. In addition to sponge, the water-containing material 4 can be composed of woven fabric, felt, a raised layer, etc.;
It goes without saying that a material that does not corrode must be used, and the hardness or thickness is such that when metal molded product A is placed on it, it will not be compressed and deformed and dig into and etch the adjacent surface of metal molded product A. Although it is preferable to use a material having the following properties, if there is no concern about such deformation, the entire material may be made of a water-containing material.

As described above, according to the present invention, a plurality of rolls having a water-containing material on at least the surface portion are arranged in parallel on one plane, and a metal molded product is formed while the water-containing material is impregnated with an etching solution. The metal molded product is placed on a roll with the required surface facing downward, and by moving the metal molded product and rotating the roll, the required surface is brought into contact with the etching solution and etched. Only the required surface can be etched without fear of contacting the surface with the etching solution, and therefore without the need to protect unnecessary surfaces with an anti-corrosion layer. This eliminates the need to provide an anti-corrosion layer on the unnecessary surface of each metal molded product, making it possible to easily and efficiently etch large metal molded products or to etch a large number of metal molded products. The depth of etching can be easily adjusted by changing the moving speed of the product or the number of contacts with the roll, and can be used for architectural parts such as gates, fences, and columns, and parts of outdoor equipment such as table and shelf legs. Metal molded products suitable for this purpose can be manufactured at low cost and in large quantities.
