Claims

[Scope of Claim for Utility Model Registration] A cassette holder for holding a cassette pack in which the tape exposed part of the case body containing magnetic tape is covered by a rotary lid, and a cassette holder for holding a cassette pack. A guide member for moving the cassette pack from the loading/unloading position to a loading position where the cassette pack is installed in the tape drive unit, and a lid opener that contacts the tip of the lid to open the lid when the cassette pack moves to the tape drive unit. The lid opener includes a first abutting portion against which the tip of the lid of the cassette pack comes into contact while the cassette holder moves from the cassette pack attachment/detachment position to the tape drive unit, and the first abutment portion. A second abutting part is formed which is located closer to the tape drive part than the first abutting part of the cassette holder after the tip of the lid of the cassette pack contacts the first abutting part of the lid opener. A cassette loading device for a magnetic recording/reproducing device, wherein the guide member is provided with a driving portion that moves the lid opener to a position where its second contact portion contacts the lid as the lid opener moves in the direction.
