Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify dye having natural taste of gradation which cannot be obtained by machine-made paper such as coated art paper or the like by immersing the corners of folded Japanese paper with sublimated dye solution, and forming a flower patternlike design. CONSTITUTION:Japanese paper 11 which is employed as the material of a transfer sheet is folded in ridges along folding lines 12, and so folded as to form a triangular shape along folding lines 13. Three corners 14, 15, 16 of the folded triangular shape are immersed with suitable sublimated dye solution 17 to be colored. In this case, its pattern can be variable formed corresponding to the sublimed dye solutions of different colors or densities at the corners 14, 15, 16. Here, the oozing of the solution of the paper occurs from the corners of the triangular shape toward its center in response to the quantity of the solution to be immersed and the length of the period of time to be immersed thereby to form gradation pattern. Transfer sheet is transferred to cloth by a hot press similar to that of a conventional one.

In the conventional heat transfer dyeing method, the transfer paper material is Western paper containing anti-bleeding agent such as Art Gi, and JA's designs are accurately drawn or printed on every corner of the transfer paper and then transferred directly to the fabric. It is intended that As a result, the finished pattern had a hard tone and a natural texture could not be obtained. Furthermore, printed transfer paper has the problem of being unable to meet the needs of the times for diversity and creativity, as it has to limit the designs to a certain number of types.

The present invention uses washi paper, which has been unsuitable as a material for transfer paper due to its large bleeding characteristics, and by actively utilizing its bleeding characteristics, the pattern is blurred and subtle. To provide a means for creating a basket of transfer papers for thermal transfer dyeing with various designs having natural textures and creating changes.

In this way, washi paper is easy to obtain a beautiful blurring effect due to its bleeding properties, and it also has high water absorption and hygroscopicity, excellent dye retention, and is also water resistant and durable.
It has many characteristics that make it extremely useful as a transfer paper.
