In hazardous materials storage tanks, construction work is frequently performed to replace the annular plate and the subsequent bottom plate due to corrosion, uneven settlement, etc. Although tank foundation correction is required due to uneven settlement of the tank, the present invention does not require foundation correction as much as the conventional full-scale jack up method, and is suitable for tanks where foundation clearance correction using only the piece method is not possible. This is related to the jack-up method of replacing the lower annular plate and bottom plate of the side plate due to foundation modification.

Conventionally, in order to jack up a tank, generally, as shown in Fig. 8, a jig 2 such as a bracket is attached to the side plate 4, a jack 3 is installed directly below the bracket, and the tank body 1 is jacked up. As shown in Figure 2, the foundation 5 was dug up and jacks 3 were installed directly under the side panels 4 to perform jacking up.

In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 indicates a tank body, 4 a side plate thereof, 6 a bottom plate, and 7 an annular plate. First, the cutting allowance 8 at the bottom of the side plate 4 is determined, and the side plate 4 is gas cut. At this time, the length of one cut is equivalent to one annular plate. Then, in order to prevent the side plate 4 from slipping on the existing bottom plate 6, guide pieces 9 are attached to the annular plate 7 on both the inner and outer sides of the side plate 4 by welding, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. In addition, there are 10 jacks with claws at intervals of about 2 to 4 m.
In order to install it, cut a part of the side plate 4 that remained on the annular plate 7 [approximately 300 m/m],
The mounting window hole 11 is formed by removing it.

Next, a claw jack 10 equivalent to one new annular plate 7a and the old annular plate 7
After removing, the foundation 5 is modified, a new annular plate 7a is installed, a side plate load support jig (support piece) 12 is attached to the side plate 4, and a guide piece 9 is attached to the new annular plate 7a. 6
(see Fig. 7) to support the load of the tank body 1. Apply this around the entire circumference of the tank. After the above process is completed, the tank body 1 is lowered onto the new annular plate 7a by cutting the side plate load supporting jig 12 little by little. With the above steps, the replacement work is completed.
