Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep high airtightness and to shut off environmental conditions by fixing an optical fiber cable to a connector part for connection and a connector to a flange for mounting the connector to equipment with a hermetic seal. CONSTITUTION:The hermetic seal 2 for fixing an optical fiber and the connector and keeping airtightness, the connector part for connection 3 for fixing a connection signal on the optical fiber, the hermetic seal 4 for fixing the connector and the flange and keeping the airtightness and the flange 5 for fixing an optical connector part and mounting it to the equipment are provided. An optical fiber cable for transmission 6 is connected to an external input optical signal and an external input/output signal connecting connector 7 is connected with the connector for connection 3 so as to connect the signal to the optical fiber cable 1, and the connection signal is fixed. Thus, high airtightness can be kept and the environmental conditions can be shut off with respect to the optical fiber cable 1.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to an optical connector, and in particular, when transmitting an optical signal through an optical fiber between atmospheric pressure and vacuum, the environmental condition 1' is used. This relates to an airtight optical connector that blocks and transmits data.

Conventionally, this type of airtight optical connector has a structure in which the transmission surface is blocked by using a transparent element such as glass, or the optical fiber is sealed by adhesive or the like.

In the case of the above-mentioned conventional airtight optical connector, if the structure is blocked by glass etc., it is necessary to increase the thickness of the glass etc. in order to obtain a sufficient strength margin for the pressure difference, which causes optical signal scattering and loss. However, if the Hikari Eyepa is fixed with adhesive, the structure must be enlarged in order to obtain the necessary margin of airtightness and pressure resistance, and the quality must be sufficient due to the nature and workability of the adhesive. However, the reliability was low, and it was not suitable for the specifications for manned space satellites.

As explained above, the present invention maintains high airtightness by fixing the optical fiber cable and the connecting connector portion, and the connector and the flange for the number of devices with a hermetic seal, and is also resistant to high pressure differences. This has the effect of increasing the length of the optical fiber and increasing the hermetic area due to the low loss property of the optical fiber. In addition, hermetic seals are stable for long periods of time due to their characteristics, and have excellent airtightness based on their use in vacuum tubes, etc., and quality assurance after processing can be fully performed using X-rays and airtightness tests.
