1段目の還元触媒と2段目の酸化触媒とを直列に
配列した触媒装置において、前記1段目の触媒を
前記エキゾーストマニホールドの内部に収納し、
該エキゾーストマニホールドに結合した触媒ケー
スに2段目の触媒を収納して、エキゾーストマニ
ホールドと触媒ケースのフランジ合わせ面に2次
空気の導入口を設けたことを特徴とする触媒装置
。 (2) エキゾーストマニホールドのすぐ下流に、
1段目の還元触媒と2段目の酸化触媒とを直列に
配列した触媒装置において、前記1段目の触媒を
前記エキゾーストマニホールドの内部に収納し、
該1段目の触媒を保持する部分のエキゾーストマ
ニホールドを2段目の触媒側に延長して、該延長
部で二つの触媒の間のスペースを確保したことを
