In order to achieve this objective, it is necessary to place the balls almost directly above the tapping hole and to insert them at the final stage of tapping. Furthermore, in view of the layout of the converter equipment, the equipment used therefor has a long arm and is required to move quickly.

In this case, the length of the charging chute remains unchanged and cannot be rolled, and the slag balls are rolled and charged, which is disadvantageous in terms of effective use of space on the hearth operating floor. Moreover, a special mechanism is required to set the slug ball in the charging chute, and the slug ball charging accuracy is also poor.

This converter slag ball charging device is characterized by having a slidable arm, which is equipped with a slag ball hanging tool at the tip and is configured in multiple stages, placed on a self-propelled cart so that it can extend and contract, tilt, and rotate.

す。(Function) The slag ball 6 is suspended from the tip of the arm 8c by, for example, a wire, and is kept on standby. When charging the slag ball, the slag ball is inserted into the furnace through the opening 4A of the heat shield plate 4. This arm 8 is 8A, 8B, 8
As shown in C, it is divided into three stages and has an expandable structure. The number of stages is not limited to three, but may be two or more. When the arm 8 is on standby, it is retracted as shown in 8-1, and when charging, it is extended as shown in 8-2 and its tip enters the converter. Furthermore, the slag balls 6 are floated on the surface of the molten steel. This is achieved by tilting arm 8 as shown at 8-3. In this state, the hanging wire is fused and the slug ball 6 is separated from the holder 13. After the slag ball 6 is floated on the molten steel 10 directly above the tapping hole 2, the arm 8 is returned to the standby state by the reverse operation.

上、自走装置にステアリング機構を設ける。 The slag balls 6 to be charged are generally placed in a box 9 on the hearth operating floor 5, and this position is offset from the slag ball feeding locus when viewed in plan. The arm 8 can be turned to the state 8-4 and held above the preliminary slug ball box 9, and the slug ball 6 is suspended from the tip of the arm 8 and is on standby. The trolley 7 is usually 7-
It stands by at position 1, and when it is turned on, it moves automatically to position 7-2. In this case, it may be operated by an operator or may be unmanned. If it becomes an obstacle to converter hearth work, etc., or if slag balls from another converter are being fed, in addition to the above-mentioned operations, the self-propelled device needs to be self-propelled to other converters, so a steering mechanism is installed on the self-propelled device. .

る。(Effects of the invention) Compared to conventional equipment, this invention requires only one converter to operate and one converter to operate.
With a converter that takes the form of base suspension, the number of installed bases can be halved, and the equipment can be made more compact, reducing equipment installation costs. Also, it is possible to reduce the cost of equipment installation, and eliminate the need for steel tapping, which previously could not be installed due to the slag ball feeding device. It becomes possible to install a hole online repair machine, etc., and in addition, it becomes easy to carry out online maintenance in the event of a failure, and there is an effect that interruption of converter operation due to equipment failure can be avoided.
