a housing containing an annular ring portion for rotating a rotor having an opening rotatably mounted within the annular ring portion to form a gap therebetween and communicating with the gap; A swirling flow is generated by feeding the sizing fluid from the fluid inlet of the rotor, and powder is supplied from the powder inlet provided in the annular ring to create an opening near the outer periphery of the rotor. The powder is separated into coarse powder and fine powder by centrifugal force in the particle sizing area.
The coarse powder is disposed in front of the powder inlet with respect to the rotational direction of the rotor and is carried out from the coarse powder outlet that communicates with the opening, while the fine powder communicates with the granulation area. In a centrifugal classifier in which fine powder is transported inwardly along with fluid through an axial passage provided in the axial center of the rotor toward an outlet, the powder inlet passage on the inner periphery of the annular ring portion. Accordingly, a large number of small holes are arranged on the inner circumferential surface of the annular ring portion between the coarse powder outlet passages in the direction of rotation of the rotor, in areas adjacent to both of the passages, and the entire small holes are formed during operation.
