Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention In the above-described conventional rotating body support device, the direction in which the support shaft member 3 is attached to and removed from the base member 2 (the engagement direction) is the same as the axial direction of the attached main body 1. If this is used as a component of a conveyor, there is a risk that the support shaft member 3 may come off the base member 2 and fall off as the frequency of sliding of transported articles increases.

Furthermore, since the conventional device has a structure in which the base member 2 is first mounted on the main body 1 to be attached, and the support shaft member 3 is further mounted on top of the base member 2, the rotating body 4 can be moved from the axis line position of the main body 1 to be attached. The mounting position is quite high. In other words, the substantial thickness of the conveyor including the frame formed by the attached main body 1 is large, so there is a lot of wasteful space.

In order to make the support shaft 14 of the support shaft member 3 horizontal, it is important to install the base member 2 horizontally with respect to the main body 1 to which it is attached, but the installation work to achieve the horizontality is technically difficult and time-consuming. This is considered a problem because it takes a lot of time.

FIG. 5 shows a wheel conveyor completed using the rotating body support device configured as described above. In the illustrated example, the wheels 4 are alternately arranged in opposite directions to increase the effective sliding width of the transported article W on the wheels 4. In addition, the conveyor frame has a double pipe structure in which two pipes 1 and 1' are arranged vertically, increasing strength and rigidity. In particular, the upper and lower pipes 1 and 1' are ribbed pipes having concave and convex ribs 20 and 20' that fit into each other in the axial direction, as shown in detail in FIG. 3, to enhance the integration of both pipes. The base member 2 attached to the pipe 1 is designed so that the verticality of the engagement groove 7 of the engagement receiving part 8 can be obtained by bringing the lower edge of the fixed part 5 into contact with the rib 20. Therefore, the ease of mounting the base member 2 and high standards can be ensured, and on the other hand, the wheels 4 can
