油圧排出位置とに切換可能な油圧切換弁と、同油
圧切換弁を上記油圧供給位置と上記油圧排出位置
との間で切換える電磁弁と、車両の運転状態に応
じて同電磁弁を作動させるコントローラとを備え
た自動変速機において、車速を検出する車速セン
サと、エンジンの回転速度を検出する回転数セン
サと、上記運転状態切換弁が上記第1の位置に設
定されていることを検出する位置センサとを設け
、車速及びエンジン回転数の少なくとも何れか一
方が所定値以上で上記運転状態切換弁が上記第1
の位置へ切換えられたときに上記電磁弁を作動さ
せて上記油圧切換弁を上記油圧排出位置に切換る
ことを特徴とする電子制御式自動変速機の安全装
